Smooth Running
I got this yesterday and fitted to a Volantex Phoenix 2000 powered glider. The motor runs very smoothly on 3 cells, and gave excellent performance. It looks as well made as the other dozen or two motors in my planes and helicopters, so I don't expect any long term issues. I'll check the mounting screws after this afternoons flights of about 30 minutes in total, and add this plane to my 'favourites'.

This seems to be a good motor at a very good price
This seems to be a good motor at a very good price & now flying in a 2 mtr glider - Only complaint is lack of tech data i.e. current draw - Next day delivery was very handy but only of you are an Amazon prime member - I suggest you use a `wattmeter` when ready to use this motor to test current drain and keep whin the 250W rating and on a 3S Lipo., that would be around 23A maxRgdsDJ

Good quality, works for slow speed medium current use cases too
Wanted to see if a drone style motor can be run at lower speeds, then geared down to be a brushless equivalent of the typical gear headed DC brushed motors. Looks like this can, with an appropriate 3d printed gearing system attached to the output shaft. Good features: casing is not iron, so a hall sensor placed near the outrunenr rotor can track the position and Field oriented slow speed position control should probably be possible : very smooth and quiet running : sized to fit the same sort of volume (approximately) as the actual motor section on a brushed 37mm gear motor fills. P.S. I made some measurements of this which aren't in the product description but should be: pin-to-pin inductance (any wire pair) = 10uH to 12uH, measured torque output in slow speed sinusoidal open loop = approx 45g*cm per amp, minimum current to guarantee cogging torque overcome at all shaft angles = approx 1.5A (in coils, less in driver circuits with appropriate buck converter style PWMing)

Works good in mini apprentice
Works good in apprentice 1.2m, pretty much unlimited vertical. Using 3s 3000 50c, apc 8x6. Using static Volts of 12.6 right off the charger, and amp clamp, max power around 283 watts. Turns this trainer into something sporty.

Broke after 5 minutes
Rubbish the prop shaft pulled out after 5 minutes use

Bearings aren't long lasting and the screws provided for the propeller shaft are the wrong size.
Comes with M2 screws for M1 holes which doesnt fit. Other than that its a very powerful motor that runs well.

Brushless motor
Bought this motor for a 3D foam board plane I built and I was amazed how good it is for the price! Seems well made and for £11.99 can’t fault it so far.
