Q: Would it be possible to buy a single pole? I bought two and like them but my tarp is too big for just two to support.

Sold in pairs only. I purchased two pair. At least you'll have a backup, just in case.

We got what was pictured. We ordered 2 sets and have been very happy. We have only used them for 1 season but they held up well even for our 10 night trip to the Maine coast that included a pretty nasty storm.
