Q: Does this inhibit the carbonation when bottling?

This is a very good clearing agent and does not inhibit the carbonation when bottling, I have been using for a number of years with no problems .

Q: I'm guessing this will work on mead also? is this added after you stabilize with km and ks?

Thanks for asking. You can certainly use this on mead or any other fermented beverage. We would suggest adding prior to final stabilization but it would be okay to add after if you needed to.

Q: I added this to plum wine I just back-sweetened w/ wine-conditioner (w/sorbate + campden). Much sediment now but still cloudy days later. A mistake?

I'm not sure we did not use it for plum wine. However, what we did use it for it definitely did not clear it up. It was cloudy after adding this, not as bad but none the less it was still not clear as it says it should be after using.

Q: Is there a clearing agent that works for whiskey mash?

This will work. However, you can do a quick Google search for natural clearing of moonshine/whiskey mash and there is several ways to clear it without using anything.
