works great
I kind of had my doubts about buying this, but we eat a lot of water melon so, now we have this. And, it works great. You have to use it a few times to get the hang of it but it slices a smooth portion of melon from one side to the other, 2 inches deep and 1 inch wide. The wire that does the cutting isn't really sharp since its for melons but the melon would say differently. After slicing, the fork end works great for lifting it out.It is very sturdy and after use I normally hand wash, but have thrown in the washer. Its worth the money.

Does not function as advertised.
It does cut like the video shows. It is hurtful to the index finger if use as directed. It is not sharp. It is waste of money. I would have returned it if I still have the packaging box.

Takes a little getting used to
This takes a little getting used to in order to get the cubes, but is worth it. I was able to buy a half round watermelon for $2.99 and cube it. This was equal to the already cubed watermelon of the same amount that the local grocery store charged $15.99 to purchase. Pays for itself in a few uses.

Decent
Much easier than using a knife. It did leave some of the watermelon in the rind. Was very sharp. Hoping the more I use it, my technique will improve

Bad design
This thing is designed to cut way too many directions at once. Once you make swipes in one direction, the watermelon gets kind of loose and then when you try to swipe perpendicular, it all comes dislodged and it's impossible to make cubes. Plus, you are very unlikely to insert the instrument at precisely the same depth twice and create cubes. Instead, you insert at two different depths and get a chaotic mess. I'm sorry but I do not like this tool at all. I think it's better to get something simpler, like this same design but without so many crossbars between the two blades. Maybe just one. Of course, another option would be to make a lot of cuts one direction with a plain knife and then drag this thing perpendicular to those. I bet that would work much better. Using this to swipe both directions I ended up with a chaotic bowl of weird shaped watermelon chunks that were frustrating to eat. I'm still recovering.

Don’t cut too Deep
When I used this product the slices were not uniformed square cuts. On the first try, I sliced deep down to the core (Horizontal & vertical). The first an second level was cut in perfect squares, however, below that was not so great. (NOTE: It also requires a bit of strength the deeper you go on the first slicing). When you cut, try cutting the first two levels of squares and empty them into a bowl, then cut the next two levels and so on. This way worked best for me and It was not strenuous at all.

Did not work for me, more like shredded the watermelon with much left uncut at the bottom
Was so very hopeful for this. I can eat a whole watermelon a week and the thought of making prep time that much easier caught my attention. The product video looks like they are using a personal size watermelon. I never purchase those so can't comment to that size. The handle isn't user/ergo friendly, hands start to get sore pretty quick. Couldn't get it to go through the watermelon in one swoop. Maybe I'm cutting too far into it, but shouldn't I be able to do that? I ended up having to slice up and down to get it to go through the watermelon, which ended up making shredded pieces. Once you dump it all out, there's a lot left uncut. At that point you have to cut it down anyway. Just a huge waste of time for me.I'll go back to a big knife to make the big cuts and a smaller knife to cube up the watermelon.
