No more gross bands!
The media could not be loaded. One of my favorite foods dyes the bands on my braces neon yellow/green, gross! So I’ve learned how to change my top bands in under 5 minutes.PROCESS: Remove your old bands by hooking the bottom of band with a plaque remover hook and lift it up & off the bracket (I go the opposite way for the bottom bands). To put the new one on, clamp the new elastic with a straight Kelly hemostat (curved made it harder), approaching it from the top of the bracket, while still keeping it clamped use the hook to stretch it down over the bracket, release the hemostat, and hold it at the bottom with the closed clamp while you remove the hook. Easy peezy!

Life saver
I have ceramic braces and during my most recent adjustment that orthodontic assistant forgot a ligature on one of my two front teeth. Since I get the tooth colored “pearl” ones I didn’t notice until after the orthodontist was closed for the day (and the long holiday weekend). I ordered these with prime shipping to attempt a DIY replacement figuring that I would still go to the office this week to have it fixed if these didn’t work. I’m happy to report that they are great! It was super easy to put on I left the ligatures on the stick and stretched one over my bracket. When it was around all four corners I just yanked on the stick and it detached. I didn’t need tweezers or anything. My only complaint is that these do not match the color my “pearl” ligatures exactly but I knew that going into it so I cannot fault the product. You really can’t tell a difference unless you’re six inches away from my teeth anyway.

Better than I expected
Exactly like the ones my ortho used on me. The only thing is that they are hard to get on. I had to use tweezers and a tooth metal pick. I definitely suggest buying something that would be easier to put on. I added a before and after picture and you can see the difference. The bands I had on were a month old and became stained due to the foods I ate.****Update: it's been almost a year and these have been a lifesaver! I always get asked how I keep my braces so white and my orthodontist is always saying how well kept my braces are. I use them about every week because I don't watch what I eat since I have these. So I don't care if the bands get stained so often. I have about 1/4 strips left so it's definitely worth it!

Identical to the one used by my ortho
Got it as a replacement for any stretched or discolored or torn ligatures. They are perfect in terms of size and all. Takes a bit of practice to place it, but I did not purchase any special tools. I just stretch them with a tweezers while the O-ring is still attached to the base, and then after it is all in place I cut the ring off the main part. Easy. So I saved myself already two trips to the ortho office, which is especially important now during COVID.

Great elastic ligatures!
Thank the lord for these ligatures. I’m a 23 year old woman with ceramic braces who doesn’t want to use colored elastics (as that defeats the purpose of having clear braces), so I figured I would try changing them myself. These are a clear plastic and hold my arch wire in place incredibly well. There’s a bit of a learning curve to changing them, but it only took 15 minutes total. In the picture I only changed the ligature on one of my teeth, but you can clearly see the difference!
