My son and I go to a local cafe to get pink hot chocolate as our Friday treat however it was closed for holidays lately so I bought this as an alternative. This is perfect and tastes so yummy.

Grim - no chocolate flavour at all. Like a watery strawberry milkshake
Both my wife and I tried a cup each - smells lovely, tastes absolutely grim.Complete waste of money for us - coupled of scoops used, and threw the rest away.

This is the closest to Costa ruby hot chocolate you can get, really nice taste and good value when purchased on subscribe and save.

This really does taste like a ruby that Costa USED to sell but no longer do. I was gutted to find out they don't do them anymore so I looked it up and found this one on Amazon. It is expensive but the tub is quite large and should last well if we don't gorge it too much. Genuinely, the taste is exactly the same once you get the proportions right so I highly recommend this brand and hope they also don't discontinue the product in the future.

Caution! Jan 2025 this is no longer Ruby chocolate
Unfortunately it seems as if all brands of Ruby Hot Chocolate (made with actual ruby chocolate), everywhere, have been discontinued.I was hoping when the notification that this particular item was back in stock that they had sourced some of the last remaining supplies. Unfortunately, I was sent the newer alternative "luxury pink chocolate powder". This is just "white chocolate" powder with pink colouring and raspberry flavouring added. The Ruby version gets most of the colouring from beetroot, but the flavouring is mainly sourced from actual Ruby chocolate.I've not yet tasted this, but as I have a sweet tooth and love raspberry flavours anyway, I'll probably like it just as much.This review is mainly to warn that as of Jan 2025, if this is still advertised/showing pics/ingredients as "ruby", then you will mostly likely receive a similar but entirely different alternative, "luxury pink", instead, so please be aware.Ruby chocolate in powder form seems to no longer be a thing anywhere ☹️.Hopefully the seller will update this listing with details of the new alternative.Simply are quality products that I've used frequently so I've no doubt this will meet usual standards, it just isn't the product the seller had advertised!
