Recipes are delicious, and book is gorgeous
This book is an authoritative resource--but fun and approachable--both for people who are new to healthful eating and for more experienced people looking for reliable information and great new recipes. It first explains why a plant-based diet is so healthy, with a very helpful Q&A section concisely answering all the common issues (What are the best protein sources? Will I need supplements? What about omega-3s? and others). It then provides great tips on shopping and meal-planning, plus a fun section on kitchen gadgets.The recipes are delicious and varied, but quick. So far, I have tried the veggie lasagna, aloo gobi, chickpea crepes, gingerbread, and chickpea blondies, but there are many more really tempting recipes. Every one is well laid out, easy to follow, and has a lovely picture showing the finished product (and cooks will appreciate that you can pick out a recipe and the open book lies flat on your kitchen counter).The book is also appealing to family members and friends who want delicious food, but might not yet have found their way there. The food photography and the simple, delicious and familiar recipes make this book a great gift. Very highly recommended.

Broad variety and easy to follow recipes
I love this book - it is colorful, vibrant and has a very positive message about how to eat well and regain our health. I also love that it has so many pictures of the recipes - I like to see what I am cooking before I make it and the pictures are very helpful in motivating me to cook and eat better. I don’t always have time to cook and I really like that the recipes are simple and easy to put together. I loved the Baba Ghanoush and Minestrone recipes - I made them for dinner and packed them for lunch the next day!

Easy and Delicious
I was counting the days until this book arrived! Dr. Rahman is a rock star when it comes to health and she has made these recipes so easy -- not too many ingredients or steps. The broccoli and chickpea-cheddar dip is so good and I am looking forward to cooking my way through the entire book. Thank you, Dr. Rahman, for making it easy to eat plant-based and healthy!

Great tasting, plant based meals ready in under 30 minutes
Simply Plant Based is my new go-to cookbook for quick, delicious, and healthy meals. The tofu curry, potato panini, and garlic mushrooms were winners with my whole family, and there are many more recipes I'm excited to try. As a working mom, I'm always looking for recipes that don't require a lot of time to make and are packed full of healthy, plant based foods. Dr. Rahman's recipes delivered exactly that!

Delicious recipes and practical tips
Dr. Rahman has abundant experience in the world of plant-based nutrition and I couldn’t wait to dive into this book! From practical tips for meal planning and grocery shopping to kitchen tools and gadgets, you’ll be well equipped in the kitchen! The recipes are easy to follow and taste great! Some highlights include no-cheese Alfredo sauce, navy bean and kale burgers, and the chana masala.

A great resource for people wanting to incorporate more plant based food into their diets. The recipes are easy to follow, quick to prepare and thoughtfully created — they are both tasty and full of nutritional goodness. Looking forward to another book in the future Dr. Rahman!

Interesting recipes, but recipes unexpectedly have oil and refined sugar
The recipes here are varied and look relatively easy to make, all a plus. I tried the chickpea blondies, and they were delicious. However, I was expecting this to be an oil-free and refined sugar-free cookbook given the author's focus on the health aspects of a plant-based lifestyle. I have plenty of cookbooks similar to this one, so this one will be returned.
