Old South Sweet Pickled Watermelon Rind 10 Oz Jar

I'm from Ohio, so these aren't that popular here. I was so excited when I stumbled upon them. Pretty expensive but that's every brand because they are a delicacy. They make great hors d'ouerves wrapped in bacon or prosciutto and baked to a crispy caramelization. Sparks conversation between guests when they can't put their finger on what that is! Beautiful color and delightful texture combined with this sweet pickled flavor. Leaves you wanting more.

The watermelon rind pickles are great for a snack or on toast. They are lightly sweet and have a great taste. I enjoy the flavor & texture alot!

Excellent product.

It looked good when I got it, but it burned up in the Eaton fire on January 7, 2025, before I could use it.

I didn’t know what to expect…I really like this brand for their pickled garlic and tomolives but the watermelon rinds were sweet, sticky and mushy I thought they were going to be crispy. I’m not a fan and it’s made with corn syrup. Definitely won’t buy again!

Our local grocery store has ceased to carry it. Can’t find it in any other groceries as well, so I got it through the web. I’m back to being happy!

they aren't quite as I remember them from our old family dinners and they probably aren't the same brand or recipe but they are pretty good!
