For under the Christmas tree
The last couple of years, we have had spills while filling the Christmas tree stand with water. In 2020, I vowed to never have that happen again, so I ordered this or 2021. We didn’t have any spills in 2021’s Christmas season, but it was nice to know we had this under the stand just in case! It felt a bit flimsy, but worked great.

Very thin plastic, easy to crack!
I just dropped the pan on the floor and it cracked. Don't buy it, get something stronger.

Works as expected
I am using this actually as a basin for a very large half oak barrel planter for a jasmine bush that I must take inside for winter. Oak barrel planter barrel sits on some 2x4 scrap pieces to keep it up out of the water overflow that collects in this basin. Comes with a pvc insert that can be installed to hook to a floor drain if actually used for intended purpose of water heater pan. I see no reason it would not work great for that too. Pan is not predrilled for the hose fitting which is nice since I am not using it. Not super strong but strong enough for its purpose.
