how much wood could a wood chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood
Use this in my mini lathe for pen turning and other chucking work. Fits well and works as expected.

Morse Taper Problems
Before you buy this item look at the small end of the Morse Taper. There is no tang for removal of the chuck from the drill press or lathe you may have it in with the standard wedge. Recommend one with the tang, it is about $8 more from the same supplier. I will keep this one and add my own tang by inserting a 3/8"-16 bolt with an extra nut at the head, weld it together and then grind it into the shape of a tang. Yes, the taper end is threaded.

Long spindle
Did not get a chance to use it. The Morris taper Arbor is too long to fit in my JET mini lathe tailstock, so I-had to return it. Other than that, it seemed well-made and a decent option for a lathe with a bigger tail stock.

MAKE SURE YOU DON'T BACK UP THE TAILSHAFT ADJUSTMENT TOO FAR. IT WILL FORCE THE CHUCK OUT.
BACKING UP THE TAIL SHAFT ADJUSTMENT TOO FAR PUSHES OUT THE TAPER AND CAUSES THE CHUCK TO SPIN INSTEAD OF BEING STATIONARY. ONCE YOU LEARN THIS CHUCK WORKS GREAT WITH LARGER FORSTNER BIT.
