It Works but Not as You'd Expect...
I got these for my boyfriend because he is red-green colourblind. While they don't make the colours he can't see appear normal, he can differentiate between them a lot easier with them on. There have been a few instances where he looks at something and realizes it was green rather than white or red rather than brown

I’m pretty sure they only work for red green colourblindness though
As soon as I put them on I searched up some tests and it works!! I can now tell the difference between red and green!

Don't waste your money! Seller is paying each customer $20 in exchange for positive reviews.
After reading all the great reviews, I was excited to gift these glasses to my friend. Upon opening the package, I received a note that offers to gift $20 in exchange for a positive review. I'm very disappointed to see that Golden Mermaid/ Pilestone (it appears they are the same entity) is paying $20 for each positive review that they receive. These glasses are a scam.

Perhaps Amazon needs a process modification for items like this where they allow a full refund without always ...
I wrote this as a response to another reviewer posting these were a scam, but think it deserves it's own post with its own star-rating being factored in. I'll start with saying that buying reviews should not occur and I can confirm there was a note. It did say that if the glasses helped you, please write a review and let them know for a $20 gift. They didn't ask folks to lie, but it probably did help convince some folks to review when they otherwise would not have. If they didn't help, you would imagine folks would ask for 100% of their money back instead. They definitely did a disservice to themselves including the offer. I get why they would want to ask folks not to open cases with Amazon because these glasses will not help everyone. Perhaps Amazon needs a process modification for items like this where they allow a full refund without always hurting the seller.I'll start with the fact that I am undecided whether to keep them or not. However, here is my experience with them:I put them on and a lot of things immediately turned pink, which I doubt is how color normal folks see the world. I was skeptical and still am that this can help anyone see colors they typically would not see. What it does in my opinion is off-shift colors so that different colored objects that would otherwise be the same color to a color-blind person, stand out as different color. The shifting of colors to a color that the color-blind person's retina can see is what these glasses seem to be about. You won't discover new colors using this glasses; just that things you thought were the same color, are not. For example, some browns and reds to me are similar. If the object had any bit of red in it, that object alone will seem to shine a brighter red, almost orange. These glasses seem dark to some color blind folks. They don't seem that dark to color normal folks though as they can see your eyes just fine through them. It was interesting that looking at someone with them on vs actually putting them on and looking at yourself in the mirror was quite different. I can see my eyes just fine when I did that. Same for anything else with pink, red, etc in it. So much brighter, but again, likely not what it should really look like.I also noticed that my car's dashboard had different colored lights on them. Some turned into a hue of green (almost blueish to me) that I can see the difference of. Before all the dashboard lights seemed yellowish. The glasses can make stuff stand-out that would not stand-out typically. So if your job required the ability to for example distinguish yellows and greens, this may help a bit. If it required you to have objects with red in them pop into view, it would do that better I think. Sort-of like getting red objects and highlighting them with an orange highlighter. I think you will be able to pass a color blindness test with these, but it messes with other colors. I'm sure someone can design a test to show other colors are negatively affected - kind of like a color blind test that a color blind person would typically see just fine, but when the glasses are on, they could no longer see it. In short, you won't discover new colors and you may be underwhelmed; but may still be worth trying out for a fraction of the brand name cost.Again, still undecided to keep them or return them. If I keep them, I won't be asking for $20 from them though. Actually not sure if they would like this post or not. Hopefully this helps someone decide. I would not call these glasses a scam, but the letter included does not put the product in a positive light at all.To the Golden Mermaid folks, please don't buy your reviews. I don't think you have to anyhow. Lower the price a bit, make sure you lower expectations by clearly stating what your product does, and perhaps open a dialog with Amazon concerning the fact you do expect a lot of returns due to genetic variations in color blind conditions. Maybe I'm oversimplifying it.

Buy um, try um, add color to your life !!
they did work for me, and I am so happy, besides seeing the right colors at the stop light, the sun sets and sun rises are awesome, and I am so looking forward to my first rainbow, thank you so much for adding real color to my world,Ok, I see some negative responses have been written, it clearly states they may not work for every body, and the seller is Not offering 20 dollars for good reviews, and OMG, for those of us like me, who they did work for, I found myself close to tears over the excitement, and what they did for me, including letting my wife drive me around at night, so I could actually see the true colors of the stop lights in town, if they don't work for you, send them back, for the rest of us, enjoy the sun rise, the sun set, the rain bows, and so much more ! David in Wi, thanks for making this product !!!
