Fancy Nancy's 12-Book Fantastic Phonics Fun!: Includes 12 Mini-Books Featuring Short and Long Vowel Sounds (My First I Can Read)

My 5 year old granddaughter loves Fancy Nancy books, so I bought a set of them for her for Christmas 2022. She’s an advanced Learner for her age (could be because her big brother is too & has been helping her learn to read, count to higher #s, add, subtract & do some very simple multiplication that wasn’t even on the kindergarten curriculum yet. We chose 1 of the books to read before bedtime & she did surprisingly very well, only having trouble with 4+ syllable words, but once she learned the word, she could recognize it & pronounce it everytime she encountered the word afterwards. I wouldn’t say they’re difficult books at all, but it depends on how well your granddaughter already reads at ages 5-7, which by 7 I would think the child can sound out the word phonetically quite easily, but every parent has to be the judge of their own child’s abilities & even if they can’t read them themselves yet, they’ll very much enjoy having them read out loud to them. We’re both very happy with the purchase of these books - her new favorite books!

They are the perfect size and length for my toddler. She loves them.

We found ourselves spending some quarentine time in an unexpected place with nothing for the girls to read, and we got these books sent to us earlier than expected and with a sweet little note by the person who shipped the books. Perfect size to keep in the diaper bag on rotation. I loved the detail and the girls loved getting to know Fancy Nancy!

Cute but super mini. Not what I expected to be honest.

Great for my new reader. These have helped with her fluency & confidence. My daughter is in kindergarten & she is a beginning reader familiar with long & short vowel words. These books have a nice word list on the first page to help her confidence in what she will be reading. There are some "fancy", more difficult words thrown in, which are a wonderful challenge. We've also read the similar Biscuit set, and the Fancy Nancy books are more of a challenge than the Biscuit books.

Bought these to read with my granddaughter who is learning how to read. The first page reviews words that will be used in broken down into new words to learn, sight words to review and more advanced words for exposure. Each book is a little more challenging!

I bought these books for my great niece, and she absolutely loves the Fancy Nancy stories. The site words are helpful and having the word list is helping her build her vocabulary. She brings me one every once in a while when I am her house and we read it together. We run through the word list and work on pronunciation.
