And really use your hands to work with it at any point you need it out of your way.I am 5’6 for reference. Has a tie system, you basically wrap the skirt around like a ballet one and then the knot stays in front.Material quality is that of a chiffon, it is like a curtain quality with a bit more sturdiness. It is see through, considering the material of the skirt.. it’s meant to be that way to allow full movement and not a lot of heavy weighing down. I wore another dance costume with a skirt already attached to a leotard underneath.Underneath that costume I wore leggings. Never have tried it without so far. Great skirt for a great price and really tied into my choreography and vision for my piece.Been dancing for fifteen years plus. Tend to buy my pieces and costumes from Amazon, cause actual stores just don’t sell good quality things anymore. Or it’s overpriced. Very affordable options on Amazon, and it saved me money! As a full time student and dancer.

I ordered the red skirt and the color is as shown. I am 5'3" and with the shirt wrapped around my waist, the length stops at the top of my ankles so it's perfect for dance. I removed a star because it's not as flowy as it is in the photo BUT it is a beautiful dance skirt.
