goosd addition to the tac kle box ,have another set on boat but keep this set in box so is available when repairing poles and tackle . like to keep small scissors so is easy to cut line from pole to remove old line and hooks,spinners,and sinkers

Tools are of good quality, nylon holster is junk. Doesn't securely hold the tools, poor fit and unstable on the belt. With that said, don't let the crappy holster from preventing you from purchasing the set (unless you're purchasing the set for the holster!).

Bought these as a gift and later had the chance to actually try them out. I like that the pliers have the longer reach on them. As for the scissors, I don't really find much use for them. I normally keep a pair of nail clippers in my tackle box to cut/trim the line if needed. I bought myself a pair of the pliers after actually getting to use them. I think they are great quality and I would buy them again even though I could probably buy something less expensive at a hardware store or dollar store.

The holster style carrier is poorly designed, in my opinion. The tools themselves are great. Scissors readily cut braid as well as mno or fluorocarbon line. Having a pair of needle nose pliers to remove the hook from a deeply hooked fish is a must.

No Comparison between this New set and the set I've owned for over 20 years. Tool Quality is cheaper and the Sheath Sucks!!. It doe not hold the tools Securely, the strap hardly reaches over them to attach to the velcro and the scissors stick out of the bottom 1/2". Dont kneel down...
