Beautiful design and great coffee
I was attracted to the lovely blue design of this coffee/mocha maker (and the actual colour matches the photo here). The BLU VENUS 6 cups DOES WORK on induction, contrary to the title of the item. Some other styles/colours/sizes do not work on induction but this one does. You can always check the models on the manufacturer's website to get the full specification. To note also "6 cups" = one large cup for me - the description does say "235 ml" and unfortunately this model is not available in a larger size so you may have to make several servings if you need more coffee.Nonetheless, I am very happy with this coffee maker, it is very easy to use and clean and I hope it lasts a very long time.

Love it! So good, I ordered a 10 cup one a few days later!
Brilliant. Elegant design. Makes lovely coffee (follow the instructions and don’t over-brew - take it off the heat as very soon as it “gurgles”).I used Lavazza Qualita Oro coffee - stated to be suitable for Moka pots, and got great results. Note though - first two or three runs of the pot won’t produce great coffee, and you should throw them away rather than drink them.Negative reviews that mention the handle coming off - don’t use the handle as a lever to tighten or loosen when screwing the two halves of the pot together, nor indeed when unscrewing them. Bialetti warn you not to do this in the instructions!Coffee from this Moka pot is SO good, I decided to also order a 10 cup version a few days after I bought the 6 cup version!

That's another level of Bialetti Moka machine!
Amazing coffee, the cistern water volume as well as the coffee basket give you a lot of allowance to adjust for the aroma intensity of the espresso coffee, something I believe unique to this machine and surely when compared to my many other Bialetti Moka machines!

Buy bigger than you think you need!
The 6 cup version brews one cup of coffee, and even then only because I like a lot of milk. Do not buy this thinking you'll get six cups of coffee, or even six shots of espresso (it doesn't brew strong enough for that). But, as a solo coffee maker, it's very good. I'd say it tastes on a par with my AeroPress, it's about as easy to use, and it's much nicer to look at.There's a reason these things are traditionally octagonal: this circular profile makes it very hard to grip when you try to screw the sections together, especially when the bottom is full of hot water. So you need some non-slip oven gloves. But it is much prettier than the traditional moka pots.

Simple barista coffee
Making a good ground coffee is quick and simple. Just put water into the bottom container up to the level of the small pressure vent, place one and a half measures of ground coffee in the stainless steel container and screw the top to the base. Heat until the water percolates up through the central column into the top container. Once the coffee has finished percolating, just pour, all done.Cleaning can easily be done once cool under a tap. No replacement filters as the grounds are easily tipped away and the container rinsed. You need a skillet for gas and a grinder for coffee beans.

Lid was scratched
The pot looks great but the lid is all scratched, and it was clearly opened by someone else or an ex-display model or something, the box has been just taped closed. Due to the design the scratches are extra noticeable, not great for a bialetti.
