Jungle Escape Puzzle for Kids - Not Really
I am an adult jigsaw puzzle addict and I primarily do 1000 and 1500 pc puzzles, so I thought this would be quick and fun work. Absolutely not.Two things: the diversity of the cuts was not enough and the variance in the illustration along the image borders was so bad that you couldnt tell what piece belonged where. Literally everything on the borders was running together. It was one of the worst border confusion puzzles I have worked with and I guarantee if it was so frustrating for me, it would definitely be super frustrating for kids.I literally had to measure the puzzle to its correct dimensions to painstakingly scrutinize which sides had too many pieces and go one by one to eliminate pieces on the borders to get it correct and progress the puzzle. The borders alone took me 90 minutes. After the border was finished, the rest was straightforward. Completed in 4 hours and 7 minutes working fast. I was too exhausted and frustrated with the puzzle to have any desire to participate to complete the escape puzzle feature.Thickness and size were great and virtually dust free as expected from Ravensburger. If they had sorted out the border illustration a lot better to make it more suitable as a puzzle and especially as one that is marketed to kids, I would have given it more stars.Edit: it looks like another commenter was having the same issue with the border frustration and the level of difficulty for this puzzle. Not for kids and very advanced for adults.

I am HOOOOOKED!!!
I am happy and unhappy that I have discovered these escape room puzzles! Happy because they are so amazing and fun. My son and I put them together in a day (the easy ones) or two (harder ones) and then work together solving the escape portion. It is stimulating and so much fun!!!! I always loved putting together puzzles but now I am obsessed. As my son says "You get two puzzles in ONE!" I am unhappy because I have a feeling my obsession will be costing me $$ since putting together an average puzzle will no longer be as fun:) They are all quite challenging, even the kid ones, so don't fool yourself that it is easy peasy. My son is 7 and he can get most of the escape portions by himself but not all. The cool thing about these puzzles is there is a pamplet inside that describes a scenario that puts you now in the puzzle. If you run into issues after putting it together and trying to solve the escape portion there is a site you can go to that give hints. I love how they do the hints as it is gradual hints. They don't just give you THE hint or the solution. They list about three hidden hints you have to individually click on to get the subtle hint. You still have to try to figure it out given the one (or two) hints. ONLY if you STILL can't solve that particular puzzle (and there are about 6-8 puzzles as part of the "escape" after you put together the jigsaw portion) then they give you a final hint that nearly solves it and then a final portion that gives you the answer to that particular puzzle portion. Also there is a secret envelope that "solves" the escape portion. Don't open unless you want the surprise to be ruined for you. RUN to buy as many of these as you can. i suggest getting the easier (less puzzle pieced) puzzles first and get used to them before advancing.
