This is my second time purchasing
This was actually the first tallow I tried buying for cooking with. I liked the price per oz compared to butter or olive oil for cooking oil.I tried another product that was a whipped oil, but went through it much faster. This is a bit harder to get out in its solid form. I highly recommend using a fork and not a spoon to get it out.However, the taste and aroma is really excellent. I prefer this over the whipped pork tallow I tried from another brand. This beef tallow makes the house smell like fresh fried donuts. The taste seems subtle but it was more pronounced to me after trying something else. My husband loves using this to fry cutlets. The aroma is transferred to them.I have noticed since switching to this for our cooking, pretty much no amount of eating the tallow makes me feel greasy or want to break out. It’s very bioavailable and increases the satiation of the meals. I actually prefer to olive oil now as well. Olive oil feels very vegetabley now. I regulate to Italian food only now. Works great in stir fries and cooking anything else. There are a few cases where I like butter, like on toast.I was worried at the beginning I would never finish the container, but switching to it as a predominant cooking oil we eventually worked through.I was pleased to see now that I’ve bought during a season with fresh grass, the tallow is more golden color. This means they really are grass fed.Only complaint is that while they fill the tallow absolutely to the top and place bags around it, somehow it’s still gets greasy on the outside.If you are new to considering cooking with animal fat, I highly recommend it. It tastes great, has great natural absorption and nutrition, and hasn’t made me gain weight or anything. I’ve always saved and cooked with my bacon grease. Fat is critical for brain mass so don’t worry. If you are on a health journey, examine the quantity and form of your sugar. It can really suppress your immune system and natural energy. Carbs + Protein/Fat prevents sugar crashes when snacking. And switch to chicken thighs over chicken breast. It’s very forgiving to cook with. It’ll cook fast on high heat without becoming dry. The fat content in chicken thighs is also great. Chicken breast tastes sad and flavorless to me now. Good luck!

Fantastic quality
Great product. I have no issues with the texture, which seems just fine. Taste is good/neutral.I use it to add fat for keto, and to improve omega-3 to omega-6 ratio, as I cannot take out a second mortgage to get grass finished beef at my local grocery store.I haven't had problems with the texture, consistency, or melting in my climate. Customer service is fantastic. I always wonder about all the people who write bad reviews without giving the seller an opportunity to remedy the situation.Even though I've been eating it like crazy, adding it to my cooking, the container seems to last forever. I'm still stocking up when there's a good deal, because the price fluctuates throughout the year.If only I'd figured out sooner that I could eat all the meat and fat I want and still lose weight!

BUYER BEWARE!! This is the WORST product on Amazon. Not like any other "tallow" --it was pure soupy liquid and it has a disgusting rancid smell. STINKS! I tried to return 3 times, has Amazon get involved directly and could not get this resolved.

Product is great, packaging isn't the best.
I have tried several different brands from Amazon comparing in price range with this one and would put this one at the top.At first impression, things are bad actually. I have had 2 orders leak from the packaging, luckily, these are wrapped in a secondary food grade bag. Unfortunately everything is covered in tallow. The packaging needs a propper foil inducted seal in my opinion. The company also sent out a second at request for the first purchase that came leaking. Great customer service.At first glance the color of the tallow is not an egg shell white, more yellow, which I prefer. The melts great and the taste and smell is much more buttery than most white in color tallow. You really get your bang for your buck in the product. Taste, texture, and feel are all fantastic. The render feels clean and doesn't cause upset stomach from excessive heat oxidation. Perfect for frying steaks, or adding to broth. A great all around product.

UPDATE...Wonderful product. Read in ref to liquidy
UPDATE: Wanted to check how it fried etc...sliced a potato and fries. They were crispy and tasty. I let the oil set and cool. The oil cooled to a nice white solid.I had read somewhere you might want to reheat the oil and let it cool. It should become a solid. Now that I know it is good I will probably place in smaller containers and freeze it. I wouldn't use it before the date.Thank you and will order again!=======================================Just received my tallow. It is liquidy. Not sure why it would be liquidy. I do not think it is that hot out. I am going to refrigerate it and see what happens. First time using grass fed, normally use the Waygu.It looks like liquidy yellowish cream of rice.Researched and some reasons for liquid...a) grass fed may not firm up as much because higher proportion of unsaturated fats.b) how it is rendered...too high a temp or too long may affect its texture. Water may not have been fully cooked off.c) storage...exposed fluctuations...pure tallow should harden below melting point (104-113 F). Grass fed can skew a bit lower.I will re-evaluate after the refrigeration.
