Huazu Ignition Key Switch for Car, Forklift, Truck, Tractor, Trailer - Universal 4-Position Starter Switch (Acc/Off/IGN/Start)

I used this as a replacement for a non functioning switch on my old JD Industrial tractor. It is ideal for this application as the terminals attach to lugs on the switch without modification. Simple but an easy fix for the old switch.

Everything went as expected.

I used this to convert a piece of construction equipment from push button start to key start. It worked well for that purpose but I did have to drill the hole a little bigger for the key switch. The switch was a little "sticky" at first but after a few cycles it is smooth and works well now. The "PAL" nut that adjusts the switch protrusion in and out isn't the most sturdy but works if you don't overtighten the outside nut when securing the switch in the panel. If you overtighten the outside nut the PAL nut will fail.

Seemed like a good deal for the price, but buyers beware! Worked fine for a few weeks, then the whole switch started to turn with the key when starting the vehicle. Didn't think much of it until the truck quit while driving home at night = engine quit, no lights, no gauges, no nothing... in a black truck on a dark winding mountain road. Luckily got it off the road before another vehicle plowed into us, pretty scary. So - after a $260 tow to the nearest shop, it cost another $670 to replace the switch and all the other stuff that burned up (starter, ignition system, etc.) because this starter switch failed. Turns out the crimps that hold the switch in the housing were weak, so when the switch turns with the key, the contacts inside the switch turn too, and make contact with the ignition/starter system contacts, keeping everything on even after the switch is turned off, eventually causing all those systems to fail. Lesson learned - saving a little money on an ignition switch ended up costing about $900 to fix, not to mention putting us in some serious danger when it quit. DO NOT BUY THIS IGNITION SWITCH!

That's a good little thing almost an exact replacement well made very easy to install and hook up

This worked great for my old tractor. Make sure to terminate ignition wire to the acc pole on the switch so that the alternator doesn't backfeed voltage to the ignition when the key is turned off. This eliminates the need for a diode on the alternator wire.Shipping was fast and I had a good experience with the seller.
