I was considering this or the name brand version. But this was nearly half the cost and included the brass conversions for no extra cost! What a deal! The hosing didn’t have any kinks, the setup was super easy, plastic doesn’t seem cheap at all. The tube is much longer than the name brand version which is nice for those deep tanks. Don’t think twice about getting one of these, the days of buckets are over! Awesome product!

I like most things about it, I only took off one star because it leaks somewhere it attaches to the sink. I haven't figured it out yet but I feel like it loses a lot of power there. Better than carrying a 5 gal bucket 2 or 3 times up stairs. Tube is stiff as well, doesn't bother me too much but it's cheaper than a python so can't complain too much. Brass fittings also a plus, I know they had PVC fittings before but the brass ones are life changers that I don't need to go out and figure it out.

We have a 40 gallon tank. Water changing/cleaning in the past was a nightmare. A multi day event consisting of siphoning into a bucket, dumping the water, filling pitchers of water, and repeat. Exhausting.Enter this product. It took a back breaking multi day event and turned it into an hour from start to finish. It took me maybe 10 minutes to figure out the setup and order you had to do things. Once I did, it was connected to the sink and running. All the gross water went right down the drain. Turn 2 valves and now you're filling your tank up with fresh water.Can't believe it took me this long to get this because it's only slightly more expensive than a regular siphon!The amount of time and hassle I saved by using this is worth more than I can express.

As an older woman I have struggled for years with buckets back and forth from my sink. My fish struggled, too, because I would avoid water changes for months. Now, I hook up the hose to my bathroom sink, mark where I want the water to drop to, and turn on the siphon. Magic! When achieved, I switch the faucet attachment to fill and happily watch while it does just that😀. Fish and owner are much happier.PS I grew up before automatic grocery store bread slicers, so it was buy Wonder bread or cut it yourself.

This was a Christmas gift to replace a decade old Python that a cat chewed holes into the line on. First two weeks were fine, with me changing from drain/fill via the faucet. However, tried to do so at the other end on week three and the faucet connection basically exploded, flooding my bathroom. With four tanks upstairs, it can be a process and me not checking is partially to blame. On top of that, the three plus attachments don’t even connect to my faucet. Had to use my old python adapter to get it connected.Contacted the company to see what kind of warranty coverage there is. Don’t expect much.Save yourself the heartache and buy the Python.Update- after the company requested proof of the leak (thus a video required that further flooded the bathroom), they did ship a replacement faucet adapter within about two weeks.Have used it twice since then. The plastic on the other end (siphon tube) had since cracked, yielding the entire apparatus useless. Contacted company yet again requesting return. Will update as this progresses. Intend to spend the money and buy another Python.

This siphon works great! No more carrying buckets and bringing in the garden hose. I had to go to Ace Hardware to get the right adapter to connect to my shower hose. The instructions are clear on how to use it. Followed step by step and the siphon began working. I think the suctioning is a bit slow but is fine by me. Make sure you follow what the instructions say and for the product to actually work you need to have the water running!!!! Once I bought my adapter I was so happy to try this hose out and it didn't disappoint at all! My turtle Pancake will be happy now that I can clean her tank more often :)

I using this for a 29g tank that is at the same level with my sink but in different rooms, about 25ft away or so.Definitely an easier way to handle water changes but it does waste more water dusting the process.One difficulty I had was to get the flow going and this was barely happening when the hose was laying on the floor. I had to shorten the hose and have it hang at a higher level by using the furniture in the room, and maintain that level all the way to the sink. Thank made it work.The suction power is average, nothing too powerful and takes quite some time to vacuum the gravel and do the 30% water change I do weekly. It lifts the debris and fish waste but slowly.Refilling the tank it easy by just redirecting the flow, but what is most important is to make sure the temperature is adequate to match what's in the tank and avoid shocking the fish inside.It is definitely an upgrade from using buckets, only because of less spills, carrying and having to rinse stuff after. It is an effective way of doing water changes but it comes with its issues.
