Not a bad rack
Package came destroyed as everyone already noted, but a 150 pound box gets damaged. The package also came 3 days early, so that’s a huge plus.Easy to set up, I did it alone in close to two hours. No missing or broken pieces. I did have one extra washer, and note that hardware to mount to the floor is not included but manufacturer recommends 3” concrete anchors.Did a few pull-ups and squats and the rack works great. The area from the front to back of the frame where you would perform squats is awkwardly small. Much smaller than a commercial rack but this will do the trick. The colored pieces are horrible, the paint is so thin and easy to chip. It would have been better to not paint at all, so prepare for your bar to eat the paint. The hooks for the bar and the safety are the same side pieces meaning the cross bar to keep them on the frame are both on the right sides so it looks weird. Also, other j hooks would be better, for 30 or so dollars I may order new ones. All in all the rack is well worth $250. I will be testing it this week and will update this review if need be.Update: after a week of usage, and not light soft usage either, paint chips super easy. J cups, or whatever these red pegs are, definitely need replacement. Haven’t tested the safety bars nor do I hope to. I would buy new j cups. Paint on rack and frame chip easy form normal bar racking and shifting (freshly knurled barbell). Rack is shallloooowww for squats, go back too far and you’ll hit the cage. Pull ups feel ok, sort of wobbly. Still worth it on a budget, if I didn’t buy this during a pandemic I would have opted for a more reputable brand and definitely not 2x2 steel, probably 3x3. Not many 2x2 attachments made for this cage.

Seems Great
I bought this cage because my basement gym has a low ceiling. I bought the 6ft option. It was easy to put together. I only needed assistance in the very beginning to make sure the posts didn't fall before the first crossmember was bolted in.The instructions are garbage. There are two types of bolts used for the construction of the piece. (70mm & 65MM). The instructions do not indicate which bolt to use. I sort of winged it to the best of my ability (using the longer bolt where it seemed a longer bolt would fare better.(insider tip - use a 6mm Allen in an impact driver to speed things along). There were a lot of metal shavings that came out of the tubing that sullied my pristine gym floor, which was annoying, but now that it's together, they won't come out anymore. The rear stability bar could have been better placed as it will likely force me to do incline on the front uprights. These issues are totally minor. This is a very stable rack that exceeds my expectations.

Over a year of use
I have been using this squat rack for over a year and it’s held up great! The paint on the safety supports chipped off really easily, but that really doesn’t make a difference. I don’t have it bolted down and the rack is very sturdy, keep in mind I’m not lifting incredibly heavy weight.

Great Addition to Home Gym
I. Love. This. Thing.Fantastic price. I saved enough on this that I was able to buy other items I needed for my home gym.Colored paint WILL get damaged. That doesn't matter to me, but if that is something you care about, this may not be the one for you. I have the black and red one and love the look.I bought plate storage attachments that I added to the back. The added weight helps keep it stable while also keeping plates safe. This thing is LIGHT. It WILL move if you aren't careful. I don't have mine bolted down, but there are holes on it so that it could be. I just like being able to move mine. So, if you are worried, you can bolt it down and/or add weight plate storage like I did.The pull-up bar is very slick. I plan on taping it so that the grip is better.I'm short, and have it in my garage that has low ceilings. The short profile is a huge reason why I picked this one, and I am very happy with it.

I like this rack, but has issues
First off, let me say I do really like this rack and it serves it’s purpose well. Any cons I mention are easy for me to work around but may be a real breaker for another buyer, so they should know about them. The absolute best thing about this rack is the price, it had the most to do with my decision to purchase and is well worth the money.I needed a shorter power rack for my garage gym because of very low ceilings and light fixtures, so this fit the bill perfectly. It’s 6ft tall, I am 6ft tall, so I was aware that there may be some ducking to get in and out of this thing which is fine. However, because of the design, the crossbars at the back of the rack makes it impossible to squat from that direction (facing the back), so you have to lift off the front, and if your 6ft tall or taller, your guaranteed to smack your head on the pull up bar. If it were only a few inches further forward this wouldn’t be an issue, but it’s right at the wrong spot for me and I have to duck under it (not ideal with heavy weight on your back.) This back crossbar also makes it difficult to slide my bench back far enough bench off the back posts (where you have to) as effectively, and really affects incline presses. Crossbar is nice because your feet fit under it for sit-ups, but that is not an important perk. The weight catches are crap, they move when adjusting the bar and have a very high lip. I spent 25 bucks and bought some yes4all j-hooks that work great. It’s pretty sturdy, but I chose to bolt it down. It also doesn’t come with plate holders that would make it wobble less. Problem with bolting it is the mounting holes are very small, like only big enough for a large screw. These should be bigger, scares they will break with a heavy load being dropped down. Also, with having to squat off the front post, you need something to stabilize it.Safety catches work well and are rated for 500 pounds, easily replaceable, and have weight catches on the front which is awesome. They are painted red which is stupid because as soon as the bar touches them, you’re getting paint everywhere. I really don’t care though. There is plenty of room inside the cage for exercises. Keep good form and you don’t need a huge cage for your big lifts. There is about a 4-5 inch over hang of the 7ft bar which is annoying, but I’ve never had it try to tip the bar when loading and unloading plates.I bought weight plate holders that I use for dips on this rack. Cheaper them dip attachment and works greatThe hole spacing is a good distance apart, meaning your not always going to have the perfect set up for some lifts. I just deal with it.Slick pull-up bar, I taped mine. Also helps when I smack my head.500 pounds weight capacity, which I hope it meets, but it feels solid enough, I’ve had 300+ on it for squats and it’s been fine. If your planing on doing 800 lb. rack pulls or something stupid like that, get something else or go to a gym and tear their stuff up.No bells and whistles, this is a cage you lift weights in.It sounds like a lot of problems but I really do enjoy using this cage, all of these cons can be dealt with, or you can spend 400 bucks more and get something perfect for you, but my bank account doesn’t work like that. Good, tough little rack.
