Taidacent Non-Contact Liquid Level Sensor, Float Switch, Automatic Operation, Black

Pros: the sensors work... For now.. 1 of 2 died within a week of use... Even with a protective diode installed.Specifics: the sensors will trigger and send on or off signals as they are intended to do. However the sensors WILL NOT allow for the water pump to fill to the top and then slowly use up the water until it hits the low sensor and fill up again.... Unless you BUY A CONTROLLER they sell. Which is not listed or mentioned.If you want to create a similar system without a controller power each sensor seperately and put one on a timer of some sort. You can join the relay outputs to the pump and since only one triggers at a time it's fine, specifically if you're on a timer.Also the instructions on how to use the black wire I found to be wrong for the upper sensor. You need to wire both sensors to ground, I'm not sure why.Cons: I didn't appreciate the misleading info and a photo on here leading you to believe that they are smart sensors.customer service was adamant at keeping up this lie and insisted that it needed more complex parts and had a "linked mode" which turned out to be yet another lie as I requested any schematics illustrating this and asked which wire specifically made "linked mode" realize it was linked... For which they had no answer and back tracked and asked me to return the products and buy a kit (the wrong kit I might add)...Overall: the sensors are good but the seller/company has a sales team/customer service team that knows nothing about the product or even what they themselves sell...If you aren't handy with electronics you should get the kit which there are 2, a flat object sensor version and a round object sensor version. This sensor here being the round object sensor

I put this on the outside of a 4" PVC pipe. It recognizes liquid as it moves up the inside of the pipe and sends a signal to my Arduino that allows me to turn off the water input valve if it goes past the sensor. It operates perfectly for this application. it's exactly what I wanted.
