This probiotic has 10 strains of cultures in an enteric coated capsule so it can get through the stomach intact. Since we need the cultures in the intestines and stomach acid will kill them. It doesn't need refrigeration which is convenient if you want to take them with you. I can definitely tell the difference in my gut when I don't take them for a few days.

Does what I need at a good price.

I checked out the supplement (I bought two superficially-dinged bottles from the Amazon Warehouse) and made sure that the cultures were indeed active by adding them to a small glass of warm water with some sugar. The control pills for each bottle foamed up their glasses, so they’re alive. As for active... it’s been about three months and I’ve noticed that I have more regular bowel movements (from once every three days to one per day), no diarrhea or disagreeable food reactions, no intimate area candidae disruptions, and dare I say... a mood lift? I have MDD and take a SNRI to regulate my mood, but I’d have to say I’ve had fewer depressed days and less anxiety over the past month. Again, it took about three months to experience an appreciable difference but this is the ONLY thing I’ve changed in my daily regimen. It’s a realistic improvement, one I really noticed only when my NPP asked me to evaluate my mood over the last month. Stands to reason, I guess, as a few of these biotic strains have been studied for their mood effects.

I thought I would try it. Its a no for me.
