As most firearm owners do, you look for the perfect cleaner and lubricant. I kept reading good things about Lucas and decided to give it a go. I really appreciate getting both a grease and an oil in this kit. The oil is thicker than almost all other CLPs out there but flows to the right spots. The grease is the nice heavy duty variety and has held up to multiple rounds at the range so far.

Lucas did it again. This is the best oil I've found for going hard on your guns.My pistols and rifles actions work smother longer without question. Oils not runny like other CLP brands.

I have been using Lucas Gun Oil for around 3 years now. Use it on my USPSA and IDPA competition guns and it works very well and stays where you put it. l shoot around 8 thousand rounds a year. I highly recommend it. Also the two bottles of oil and tube of grease are a great price!

I bought this on a recommendation from a firearms instructor who was helping me find the right lube for my rifle. I was using slip2000 and found it to be way too thin and would burn off creating smoke every time I fired. I switched to Lucas oil and it solved that problem. I love the gun grease. I use the oil for my pistol and the bolt on my rifles, and I use the gun grease on the bolt carriers and charging handle. It makes pulling the charging handle super slick. It’s just lovely lol. I love that the grease doesn’t burn off or run at all. Noticed it’s easier to clean too.

I figured they make really good lubes that I use on my cars, should be good performance for my firearms. I don't have any professional engineering tools to gauge wear or anything like that so anything here will be anecdotal, but so far I'm happy with this product.I didn't realize, perhaps it was just an ID-10-Tango moment, but the oils are exact same, just different quantity - so there's little reason for this tri-pack. I am a little upset with myself getting two oil sizes vs finding a kit that has Lucas oil, grease and a cleaner/CLP, and to be honest I don't even know if there's a difference between this oil and CLP.I can say though that, since I have so much of this oil, and a good cleaning session maybe uses 10-drops per firearm, that I've started using this oil for other things like lubing all my hair clippers from my beard trimmer to pet grooming blades, door hinges and the like.

Does what it is intended to do very well

This kit contains everything I need to lubricate all my funs. I use CLP or degreaser to clean them, then I use the small bottle with the needle tip to put lube on the precise spot my funs need it most. This is especially good for the polymer funs. For the 1911funs I like the bottle as it puts a bit more out. They're older and like a bit more lube. We know how that goes. The fun grease is useful on my really fun guns that squirt high volumes quickly.All in all, if you have fun with your funs and want to keep them running well, these Lucas lubes do the trick.
