She's Up to No Good: A Novel Paperback – August 1, 2022

Absolutely loved this book! It's such a cute story about family and new beginnings. I loved the personality of the grandma. She is so spicy! I appreciated the insight into the Jewish culture in the 1950s as well. Excellent story!

Jenna is camped out at her parents house after her husband asks for a divorce. She’s very much stuck in a rut. So when her 89 year old grandmother Evelyn says she’s going on a trip to her hometown, Jenna offers to drive her. Which is exactly according to Evelyn’s plan.This one switches back and forth in time from the 50’s when Evelyn was a teenager to present day. Evelyn is a hoot and a half. Wild as a teenager and hilarious as a senior, she tries to set Jenna up with the grandnephew of her teenage sweetheart and urges her “not to use a prophylactic b/c you’re running out of time”. Jenna is not convinced.I loved Evelyn and her stories. The present day stories were harder for me to buy. I feel like they were more of an afterthought as Evelyn’s story was so compelling. I liked this one and I laughed out loud a few times, but it wasn’t my favorite of SGC’s stories.

Oh my goodness this was a great love story with lots of heart breaking parts but so wonderful also. So much personality in the characters and so many plot twists! Great Read!!!

I loved this book. It was sweet, it was real and it was so beautifully written!! I’m definitely a fan!

This book was not life changing but it was a good easy read. Kind of a slow start but toward the middle/end had me wanting more

She a beautiful story with duel timelines and perspectives! Lovely character development and beautiful writing! Once you start you won’t want to stop

By the end of this book, I liked it. It’s cheesy and that’s fine. Loathed Jenna as a character through a lot of this, because she felt so empty and just overall rude; but maybe that was the point, that she was trying to find herself. Liked Evelyn a lot more, but still had issues with most of the characters in this story.The writing was fine. If you want a quick story to get through in between long in depth books, it’s a good one to pick.

This is a great book. It has a cute storyline, the characters you love. Totally recommend buying.
