Awesome
These are great shoes. Don't believe the whole "they fit like Chuck Taylors" thing. They fit better than Chucks.

I LOVE THESE BOOTS!
A friend recently turned me onto Palladium's "Baggy" boots. He suggested I try a pair, so I ordered these. Growing up in the 90s, I've owned "combat" boots from Doc Martins to no name off-brands. These Palladium boots fit true to size and are super comfortable to wear. They're stylish, versatile (can be worn "collar up" or "collar down"), and come in interesting shades of earth tones. For me, specifically, I will probably add a gel insole as they aren't very padded as soles go, but that's a small issue. 10/10.

Durable and lightweight
These fit very snugly to your foot without being uncomfortable. They are very lightweight but still offer stability and comfort. The canvas is durable and I would say it's thicker than what you would find on a Converse sneaker. The rubber that covers your toes is very thick and does not give very easily when pressed. The grip of the tread has not worn off and I've had these for a month or so now and I wear them at work. The tread itself is very deep and not weak and bendy at all. They're definitely worth the price and I'm probably going to get more palladium boots in the future. These Boots Rock and they are also true to size so you're all set go get yourself a pair!

A lightweight, good looking canvas boot
Edit 05/06/2017: After almost three years of use, it is time to retire them and buy a new pair. I've gone on numerous hikes, skateboarded, and worn these through three winters. Amazingly, they still have tread. However, the canvas is tearing away from the sole along both sides of both boots, right around the ball of my foot. But they've lasted as long as any pair of boots that I've ever owned, so I'm upgrading them to a 5 star.Pros: This boot can be worn either above the ankle or buttoned up, which rests just below my mid-calf. It looks good either way. It is also surprisingly light-weight, which makes it ideal for hiking in (dry) climates. The stitching and construction is topnotch.Cons: As other reviewers have mentioned, it's a bit snug, especially around the ball of the foot. I have medium width feet, and always buy regular width foot wear. That said, either I'm getting used to the fit or the boot is loosening up, because it doesn't bother me too much after a few days of wear. The only other gripe I had with this boot is that despite being canvas, my feet get fairly hot in these. My last pair of canvas boots (different brand) had small vents on the sides, which I am missing.

My favorite pair of Shoes
I've never bought shoes online before and so I was definitely concerned that either 1) These wouldn't fit my feet right, 2) These wouldn't look like they do in the pictures compared to real life, and 3) They wouldn't be comfy or they would have some srange contour that didn't match my feet. These are some of my favorite shoes I've ever owned. That's a pretty big statement to make but i really do say that with all seriousness. First off - they look pretty darn cool, and the option to switch from boot-style to medium-back style is super easy and quick to do. I have found myself wearing these boot-style most of the time and this is not what I expected ha! The boot style just looks so cool and has a solid feel. Also, these things are appropriate to wear nearly anywhere and for almost all types of occasions. Going to work with a dress shirt and nice plants? Palladiums. Going on a dirty hike and need a sturdy grip? Palladiums. Going on a date? Palladiums. Store? Palladiums. Class? Palladiums. You can also wear these for a very long time!! Longer than any other shoe I've worn. I noticed this because my feet do not like to be put in shoes for long amounts of time, but these just felt great.I've only had them for a couple months but so far they seem to be lasting VERY well; they've taken quite a beating and still have a ton of life in them. Great pair of shoes/boots, and I highly, highly recommend them.

Break them in
these boots are quite nice. not very heavy, but sturdy material. they take some breaking in to make them really comfortable, but once you do that, they are sweet, and stylish. ive used them for both city walking, and in more rugged desert terrain without issue. i wouldnt take them out in the rain unless i had to, because they are probably more porous than a regular boot, but in hot climates they are ideal. the toe guard rubber section is a nice benefit as well in rougher terrain. i dont have to worry that any needles from cacti or other spiky plants will stab into my toes as i navigate Mohave deserts.

Durable and fantastically comfortable
I had a pair that I wore several times a week for years when they finally wore out. I replaced them with these for a slightly taller boot that I can lace around my jeans cuff, for tick and thorn protection when hiking. They're perfect! I also love the way they look with shorts or even a skirt when the cuff is unlaced and snapped down.I applied beeswax and melted it in with a heatgun to make them water resistant, which leaves them breathable but keeps the boots (and my feet) dry when walking in mud, shallow water, or tall wet grass. The other pair I had (not high ones like these) were treated similarly and kept my feet dry in numerous spills when I was pulling pints and waiting tables. It doesn't change the look at all once it's melted in, and makes them even more practical. These shoes are SO comfortable, I can and have worn them for 12 hour waitressing shifts or miles-long hiking trips. I have far less foot fatigue and soreness in these than I ever did with sneakers, and I love the way they look. I recommend Palladium shoes to everyone now!
