I’m a new aquarium owner and set mine up in Jan 2024. Added 5 guppy’s and everything was fine, then added 5 platys a week later and that’s when I acquired my bacteria bloom. So since the beginning of Feb I’ve had a consistent bloom of varying degrees of murkiness. After researching I tried several things including Interpret Quick Clear, which just resulted in coating everything a lovely shade of brown!! So I visited my local Pets at Home on 24.04.24 and we assumed I was putting too much good bacteria into my tank. So on 02.05.24 I did a 25% partial water change and within hours it was the worst it’s ever been. I’d been toying with buying a UV light weeks ago, so decided to take the plunge and WOW! I can’t recommend this enough. Within 2 days I’ve gone from thick milky water to almost clear. I’m using it in conjunction with my Moray filter, but will eventually just use this one. It’s very quiet and so easy to put together and dismantle. I’m a very happy customer, who can now see all her fish. Thank you. 👍👍

Very easy set up , currently running in my quarantine tank and it’s fantastic. Easy to maintain, easy to clean. Well worth the money.

There are some bad reviews for this item but I took a chance on it & so far it's been brilliant.It's very easy to assemble & fit. I use it in addition to a normal filter & the tank is now beautifully clear. I use the spray bar which my fish love but it is slightly noisy......may bother some people. The only other drawback I've found is that the sterilizer & filter don't work independently. It's both on or off at the mains. This could be an issue if you don't have another filter as the sterilizer needs to be turned off when using any water treatments. Overall its perfect for my setup.

I bought this product by the reviews it has, but it didn't work on my fish tank, They are advertising this uv light for fish tank from a hundred and fifty litres 300 hundred litres. My is two hundred, but what i've noticed with this uv light in my fish tank It produce more algue instead of getting rid of it, which I don't quite understand why, Maybe it has anything to do with the uv light isn't working correctly, But on my eye, it seems the uv light is working perfectly fine When I take the bottom cap you can see it's working At least it's on, And I don't have an extra uv light And it seems to be quite hard to find a uv light for this model, I'm not saying it doesn't work it just didn't work for me. That's why my review is it slow.

I've had the pump for just over a month now and it routinely stops working. I unplug it, take it apart, put it back together and it works again. It is worth the money because of the results but the constant breaking down Is very annoying. Works well when it is working, very quiet and discreet little pump.

While this is a good filter i have found that o have repeatedly had problems with the twist mechanism jamming up when it comes to maintenance. Ive had to replace it twice now and will be looking at alternatives now for another jam up !

This filter is of German design, and the quality shows. Well packed, no kinks in the air tubing as I have found in previous purchases, not of this manufacturers items. Easy to assemble, instructions in various languages, and supplied with a UK plug attached. Quiet in operation and supplied with sprinkler/rainwater bar. A point to be aware of is that most manufacturers claim that a UV light will kill algae, in fact they only kill algae blooms, i.e. floating algae which discolours the water. They do not kill the algae sticking to the glass or rock work. The spores have to pass through the the filter and the UV light. This usually gets rid of it within a couple of days depending how bad it is. Certainly worth the money and better than more expensive ones on this site.
