Small Mini Durable ABS Covered Solid Brass Body Individually Keyed Padlock - 8 Pack Lock Set

So I purchased the set of 8 pink locks, 8 times, making it a total of 64 locks. I first only purchesed 2 sets, to make sure I could pair up the locks with keys. Then I bought 6 more sets, and paired them all up together in sets of 8. So when done, I had 8 sets of 8 locks, each set with 16 keys that work with 8 locks. If I want to increase the number of locks to work with the same keys, then all I have to do is buy more sets of locks. Of course I don't need all of the locks, but it comes in handy having small locks like these that work with the same key.So after having this many locks, and testing them all as I was pairing them up, most locks work very well. A few of them do tend to be more difficult to close, but with more pressure, they can be closed. Also, I did notice that a few times, the wrong key could open the wrong lock, but after doing so, the same key would not work a second time. Out of 64 locks, I only noticed this happened twice, so it did not happen enough times for it to be something to worry about.Overall, I love these little locks. I have so many things to use them for.Most of all, I love the color options.

The locks came individually keyed with two identical keys per lock, shipped in a plain Amazon parcel. Contrary to what the store page claims, not all keys were unique. There were some duplicates. (i.e. a set of keys could unlock multiple locks.) I see some reviews saying that all were indeed unique, so I suspect it's down to luck whether you end up with duplicates.The shackle is 1/8" (3-4mm) in diameter and seems to be made of stainless steel. If you only need to create the illusion of security, or want to keep something secure from children, this will probably do the trick. It's impossible to break it with bare hands. Due to the small size, I wouldn't expect this to stop a well-equipped burglar, but at $2 per lock I think that's pretty reasonable.The plastic covering is made of ABS, which has quite a reputation for being nearly indestructible under normal conditions. It's the same plastic that LEGO is made of, so as a big fan of LEGO personally, this caught my eye and told me that they were using good, premium materials. Of the 8 locks I got, the plastic housing could be pulled off of 1 of them. I don't think it's supposed to come off, but it snapped back on just fine, and the lock remained functional even without the plastic. The plastic is very slightly textured so it's easy to grip, and is fairly pleasant to handle.Overall I'm pretty happy with this product. The duplicate keys and the plastic coming off are the only problems I've noticed so far, and for my purposes neither one is a dealbreaker.

I have ordered these locks twice and they have never failed me. They are small, sturdy, and have a smooth locking and unlocking mechanism. I'm never worried they won't unlock or a key will get stuck. The locks have never let me down. They aren't big enough to stop a well prepared criminal, but they work great for keeping kids out of trouble. I use these locks on my ammo cans to keep my kids from where they shouldn't be and they work perfectly.

These locks performed as advertised and were perfect for my use. They're small, but feel sturdy and have a good finish. The keys are unique to each lock and the locks open/close pretty smoothly.For reference, I used these eight locks as part of an overly complex, multi-stage puzzle that stood between my friends and their Christmas gifts. Now that that's done I'm using them as locks for my rifle cases. I doubt they'd stand up to a pair of bolt cutters, but at this size for this price they don't need to.tldr: small locks for a good value, would order again

these are too small to be super sturdy, but for tiny locks they're very solidly built. and it's very difficult to find sets of locks that are keyed different without paying a LOT, so I am delighted to have found these.I create a lot of escape room style puzzles and these are super little locks for a reasonable price.

I Needed small locks that were individually keyed for my employee breakroom. However, even though these were promised to be individually keyed. 3 of them open each other. That is a problem. There will always be that ONE person who tries their key in someone else's lock. They would have been perfect if individually keyed as described.

I saw a post on Facebook about using padlocks in math centers and wanted to try it out for myself. These are CUTE, and I can't wait to see my kids using them next week. I actually ordered TWO sets, so I could have two different centers set up with word problems (which they generally hate doing) in the hopes that attaching a fun activity to them will make them more fun. Fingers crossed!As far as general usefulness of the locks, they all showed up with keys that work, the keys ONLY work for the lock they're with, and all the locks functioned properly when I got them. (We'll see how that is after a week of third graders with them, but that's another story.)

I am making all of my grandchildren boxes so that they can keep their "Treasures" in them. I'm hoping that these boxes will survive their childhood into adulthood, and they will have something that their Grandfather made for them. Of course, a treasure box needs a lock. I wanted to buy these in bulk, but needed them all keyed differently. I came across these padlocks, and when I received them today I was amazed. These are quality padlocks, the case is made of brass with an ABS coating, and they look and work great! I'm certain these locks will last as long as the boxes do.
