I’ve not used these before, but they do secure two crossing edges of the joist very well

These ties work but I like to invert a 2x4 or 2x6 hanger if it is in a place that You can use them but these work

I used these for a corrugated metal roof on a side-less stable. I nailed these in place, on the outside of the beams, and later placed the 2x4's in place and nailed them in. Each tie requires 10 - 1 1/2" nails. That's a lot of small nails and is very time-consuming especially when you are on a ladder. They didn't feel as secure as I had hoped. I don't think I would use them again.
