Fangor F-506 is a great value for the price
The Fangor F-506 is a simple to use, small dark room only projector. It works well in darker rooms and is still visible in daylight but with all the contrast washed out. You can't read a news crawl during the day. At night or in a dark room it has plenty of brightness and the contrast and colors are sharp. I had the unit set up to project a 130" image on a white brick wall and found the digital zoom only reduces to 60%. The big drawback for me is the lack of keystone corner adjustments. It only has a manual vertical correction so you can adjust the image if you place the projector above or below the screen. I placed the projector off to the side which stretched the image and was a bit annoying to view. I tried the wifi screen mirror using android. It works, but the audio lags the image and video buffers once in a while. I did not get 1080p streaming video while mirroring, more like 480 at best. The F-506 has many A/V connections but I only used the HDMI's. One feature that drew my attention to buy this was the side compartment HDMI and USB. It is a third HDMI (that is not mentioned in the description but they show a picture) enclosed by a ventilated cover. I installed a Roku stick with a short 90-degree USB cable and covered it up making portability very easy and convenient. A small drawback is that the port isn't powered until you select it. Then you have to wait for the device to boot and then download any updates. My unit came with a remote with glow in the dark buttons which I found to be useful in a dark room. The remote works like a regular remote when you point it at the image, I didn't have to point at the projector. The audio is good and loud but gets tinny at high volume. The cooling fan is very quiet and barely noticeable but there is no removable filter, it's built-in. The backlit touch controls are a nice touch for a budget projector. The Fangor logo is backlit with a very bright red LED that is noticeable in the dark. The unit came with a carrying case and tripod which worked well. The only thing missing is the batteries for the remote.I recommend the Fangor F-506 projector to anyone that wants to experience a large screen image in a dark room. If you can put the projector directly in front or behind a screen it works perfectly. I returned mine because I want to use it in my windowed garage during the day. This unit didn't cut it and I replaced it with a bigger, brighter, bulkier, noisier fanned projector. There is good value with this Fangor projector and with the Amazon coupon, you can't beat the price.

Great Device for modest price point
So I have used 3 times once indoor and twice outside. The first use was with the roku stick and had no issues at all, second time was outside with the laptop connected via hdmi cables. The first time no issue everything went perfectly second time it took me a while to get sound apparently this device accepted the WiFi signal from my fridge so be sure to turn the WiFi off if your not using it. Once I finally figured out the problem i had sound but it was too low to listen to with all the cars in the neighborhood and other outside noises. The third time I watched outside we sat a bit closer to the device and it went well without any issue besides remembering to cut the WiFi off so we could hear. Then this time it was too loud so I had to turn the sound down so I wouldn’t disturb my neighbors. You will definitely need some speakers to connect if you want to enjoy this outside, maybe ones with a remote so you don’t have to keep getting up. The remote didn’t work from far away so in order to adjust the picture when it got dark I had to get up and walk close enough to the remote for it to pick up. I image I was 20 feet away and had to walk 10 feet closer to get it to pick up. The remote has a lot of picture adjustments though so I was able to watch a movie in the daytime by adjusting the picture. I had to readjust after dark though as the picture started to look bad with the decrease in lighting after dark. My neighborhood backs to the woods so besides squirrels deer rabbits and birds, it’s not too noisy just the normal outside white noise. Otherwise picture is good adjusts well sound is good when you can hear it. Also just an FYI you definitely wanna get something to tie your projection screen down if it’s windy out. I backed mine up against the shed and jammed the legs under the shed to avoid the wind blowing it away. I also adjusted the screen so the wind wouldn’t hit the screen. You definitely need a fire stick or Roku stick with this otherwise I couldn’t get it to mirror the movies from my iPhone 10 with sound and picture it was one of the other. My own videos and pictures from my phone played without issue. The laptop movie was ok but it showed the box around the picture and bottom of the screen even while in full screen mode. The best picture I’ve gotten so far has been from the roku stick. I ordered a fire stick especially for the projector just waiting for it to arrive. I’ll keep it in the bag so I’ll have no issues later. I love that it comes with all the wires you need except the audio aux cord for the sound, I’ll buy a long one that will work for my patio setup outside. Great device I’m hooked!!

The projector needs to be straight in front of the screen to have a clear image

Highly recommend, def worth it! But don't let the wireless function fool u if u binge Netflix too!
Absolutely love this projector, but there are just a few things I wish I would have known before making my purchase. Bluetooth function is mainly for external speaker use because the screen mirroring function is mainly through wifi, and there is some sort of restriction (I assume some kind of copyright issue) that keeps you from streaming online services like Netflix and Youtube (I anticipated using the "wireless" function the most for streaming, unfortunately). You can also connect your device to the projector through WIFI which is great in theory, but once you've connected to the projector via wifi, you can't really use your laptop/tablet unless you have the ability to use cellular data on your device which is obvious to me now but didn't realize at first lol. So you can use your phone to connect to wifi and use your data to search the web or watch tiktok/facebook/instagram videos on your wall, but again, you can't stream Netflix. We also tried downloading the Netflix shows/movies to watch "offline" in an attempt to bypass the need for wifi, but again, there is some kind of restriction once you're on Netflix. So despite the cool Bluetooth and wifi functions, you will most likely need to use the HDMI cable for any online TV show/movie streaming which works PERFECTLY, and thankfully this projector comes with an HDMI cable. In regards to the actual display, however, the clarity and available settings to optimize your viewing needs are insane! It is extremely easy to set up and navigate with the remote anywhere in the house or even outside thanks to the attachable tripod stand and its different adjustable zoom/focus/angle/height settings (in a dark room or at night outside, the clarity is honestly better than most of my TV's, not to mention its also cheaper than most TV's). My girl and I have enjoyed countless movies and shows on this projector and would HIGHLY recommend it, despite the minor disappointment we had as we anticipated solely using the wifi/Bluetooth functions for shows and movies. We thought the screen sharing/screen mirroring ability would work great for streaming tv shows and movies, but although it doesn't work for streaming, it works AMAZINGLY via Bluetooth and wifi connection if you are just trying to view pictures, play games, watch videos (like on Tiktok, Facebook, and Instagram), or play movies/shows that are downloaded on your device on a "big screen". Again, it does NOT work for streaming Netflix without an HDMI cable. Hope this info is useful for those looking to buy a projector! I will say, since my purchase I have been very satisfied, but I have also learned there are some projectors that are kinda like "smart projectors" that already comes with Netflix and other apps so you can stream it through the projector so you don't have to purchase a firestick or something like that which I read you can connect to this projector to stream those online services. Hope this helps :)
