This is a beautiful book and a good size. It is divided into seasons, which makes it easy to pick an appropriate haiku.

I gave this to my friend for Christmas. I was very impressed how beautifully contained the Haiku, the languages of Japanese and English and Japanese paintings. I would love to get this book for myself! My friend said: "What a lovely piece of work! Not only is it done extremely artistically and in an opulent manner but it also contains a very good introduction to Japanese poetry (including Haiku) and painting." Recommended to everybody!!

A nicely put together collection of poems with great illustrations.

This book seems truly to have been a work of love. I was amazed as to how well the pictures and the poems went together, and I really enjoyed both the pictures and the poems that were selected for this work. I lent this book to a friend who liked it so well that she read it in one sitting.We both consider it an excellent choice for anyone who enjoys Japanese art or poety.

husband is a Buddhist Priest and I work at an art Museum. We both love this little book. Presentation is outstanding, poetry is simple and beautiful. So beautifully Japanese!!!! What I say is totally understated

Absolutely gorgeous! It is like walking through a museum. I only wish the collection was larger.
