For context to the temperature references, I’ll preface this by sharing that we live in Alaska.We have an insulation job waiting to be scheduled for the buildings in our HOA, so this was purchased with the idea of lessening the impact of direct sunlight to our sliding glass door in the meantime. The idea was to have balcony curtains that could hang outside of the sliding glass door to stop some of the sunlight from turning our condo into an oven. But also, to be draped over the balcony railing when desired for full coverage.I hung it from the end/edge of the eave over the balcony, by zip-tying two pieces together for full balcony coverage and zip-tying heavy nuts along the bottom for weight (based on another reviewer’s tip).It seems to be helping a lot (after experiencing 93-degree indoor temperatures last year, we’ve yet to go above 81 this year).The concern is that it shrinks quite a bit with sun exposure. Had I caught this tip beforehand, I would have made the curtains longer so that there’s plenty of length when draping over the banister. I have a few screws off to the side for securing the curtain when pulled back and I’ve already moved the bottom up by at least four inches. Considering that it’s still showing signs of shrinkage, I’m betting that I’ll have to move it up again or just do away with it completely.

These shade clothes have been working well over my garden.I cut them in fourths to custom them just a little bit and then I put them up temporarily for the Arizona summer heat and then I take them down for the cooler months.They didn’t fray when i cut them and they give great coverage.

Just as I thought. Would have liked 20% but this 40% shad 6x100 works just fine. Bought 3 altogether so for so good. Easy to cut to any length. Black

This appears to be a good product. It is easy to use. My only concern is: What does the word eyelets mean? I imagined it to mean metal eyelets to attach through. There are no metal eyelets or any other indications of "eyelets".Aside from that, the screen material seems to be strong. I will see after time and heavy winds.

Nice shade cloth for my garden. It gets blown around and caught on metal. Despite that, it stays intact. I am happy with my purchase. I bought two.

Great shade fabric, perfect for the garden. Also used it for a wind screen, which has held up with the 30-40mph winds our garden has had this year. It is well made, and we will order again if needed.

I bought this screen to cover my garden for the summer but it did not turn out to be as sturdy or heavy duty as I would have hoped. This does not seem like it will hold up for an Arizona summer. Hopefully I am wrong
