Works very well, just does not smell good

I hope they never stop making this. It drys up blemishes, heals & reduces inflammation and discoloration. This is a dupe for for Mario Badescu pink Drying Lotion. Tried both side by side - Johnson and Johnson version is Superior!!!! And cheaper!

I got the drying lotion because I heard good things about using Sulfur treatments and I had a huge red pimple. The photos show before, day one and day three. There is probably a point of diminishing returns because I used it for those three days and not much difference after the first day! But I was very impressed the first day, how well it cleared my litte(er) spots overnight.I did propably put way too much on, as I showed, because even though I used this once a day for three days, my skin in the areas I used it on, felt like SAND after. Like really horrible dryness. I have combination skin, so my cheeks are prone to some dryness, but not like this! I only felt the drying effects a day or two after I stopped, so if you have an event and need acne help for one night or so, this can be a go to for that!I gave it four stars because the bottle is not very user friendly either, the application is confusing, and could use an applicator.

I swear by this stuff

I tried using this Stubborn Acne Spot Drying Lotion several times but I did not find it very effective. To make matters worse, it left bright red splotches. It aggravated my skin, similar to a chemical burn. People with sensitive skin should be cautious. I found a better alternative was to use tea tree oil (diluted) and apply a little with a cotton swab. It possesses antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiviral properties and seems to work better.

This works very well, but you need to read and follow the directions very carefully. You have to let the contents settle so the clear liquid floats to the top and the pink lotion settles to the bottom. To use it, you stick an applicator through the clear liquid and down into the pink lotion, pull it back out, and then apply it. The sulfa it contains really helps a lot, and I use it on scalp and facial breakouts. It is opaque and pale pink. If I use it on my scalp breakouts, I can brush it out later after it dries, but the coating itself is what heals the acne, so I leave it when possible.
