I'm a geezer and now I can swish my hair....
I use the Alpecin about every other day, or maybe every 3..! I've never been a 'wash your hair every day' kind of guy anyway, but make sure I give it a good soaking in Alpecin when I'm soaking in the tub.It recommends leaving on for roughly 2 minutes to still have the effect within 24 hours, but I lather my scalp up and leave it on for about 5 minutes to hopefully get a couple of days effect. I've got to admit this stuff seems to work. My hair is definitely thicker, still some very minor hairloss (I'm talking 2 or 3 hairs at the very most, which is probably natural). It even just generally feels thicker.I'm still on my first bottle after about 7 weeks, so excellent value for money too.I'm also using this alongside Re/Rogaine hair treatment (to help cure a bald patch), and think the 2 items seem to work well together as the Rogaine is for re-growth and the Alpecin to prevent hair loss.Over all, a great product that actually works.

As amazing as it may seem, this bloody well works!
I was very sceptical of this product, having wasted a great deal of money on minoxidil based products. Here they were claiming that caffiene could do the same thing they claimed minoxidil could (although it didn't help in my case) and to this claim I was incredulous. Of course one will try anything once. Now I never had hair loss from the back of my head, I think I should point that out. It also may not be hereditary hair loss. I was misdiagnosed with a stomach ulcer when I was 22, when I was actually gluten intolerant, and my hairline receded dramatically over the 15 years it took me to work out that diagnosis was wrong (no thanks to any doctor but to my sister who was diagnosed in the meantime as gluten intolerant).I have been using Alpecin for just one week but already there is fine hair growing on parts of my head that have been bereft of hair for years. I have no idea if this will continue long term but I'm hopeful. While there is a slight inconvenience in that you have to remember to wash your hair with it every day (I did forget once or twice) that is a small price to pay for the hope that this product provides. And it is a hell of a lot cheaper than those minoxidil products as well.

Cheaper in bulk, but not entirely sure of the effectiveness
I bought this pack of three in order to save some money in the long run.As a young man in my early twenties, the sight of thinning hair on my crown (nicely pointed out by my partner) was a worrying thought. I decided to purchase this shampoo after seeing the adverts on the TV and thought I've got nothing to lose, and so far things appear to be OK. I've been using the shampoo for several months and my hair loss appears to have slowed down (i.e. the amount of hair that I find on my pillow / shirt collar has reduced significantly). I wouldn't say it has made me grown thicker or produced more hair, but if it stops hair falling out then I'm all for it. I'd rather have relatively thin hair on top than none at all at my age.The shampoo has a nice scent about it and produces a slight cool / tingling sensation when left on for the recommended 120 seconds. The instructions claim that the longer you leave the shampoo on your scalp, the more ingredients will be absorbed and thus produce a better result. How much this is backed up with science and research is anybody's' guess, but overall it is a nice product to use. Even it it didn't work I'd be happy to use this product due to it's scent.

5/5
If you're bald or are almost bald, don't buy this expecting to wake up with a head full of hair the next morning. You are not this products targeted audience, unfortunately. However, if you're unlucky enough to be one of these people, there is a "miracle" hair growth procedure out there called a hair transplant which can be done incredibly cheap in some parts of the world that gives some amazing results, especially in Turkey. But enough about that. This product is for people like myself who have a decent amount of hair that's receding or falling out, and it works. Now I'm not going bald anytime soon but I noticed about 5 years ago (I'm now 29), that after each shower there was one strand of hair too many lingering near my feet. I'll be honest, I was a little freaked out. My dad is a bit bald on the top so genetics being as wonderful as it is, I was preparing myself for the worst. I wasn't ready to start losing my hair at that age. My confidence levels weren't great at that stage in my life and losing hair didn't exactly help the situation. But I wasn't giving up that easily, no sir! After countless hours of researching "miracle growths" and a lot of other crap, and not having enough money at the time for a hair transplant, I started to give up hope. But then I came across this product. At first I was a bit sceptic after seeing all the 5 star reviews but I knew I had nothing to lose, except for a few euros and some more hair. So I bit the bullet and ordered a bottle. The first use of the shampoo leaves a tingling sensation on your scalp, which is actually quite pleasant. This eventually fades after multiple uses but the shampoo still does it's job. I noticed after a couple of days that there was less and less hair falling out after each shower. Now some hair still falls out occasionally, but that happens to everyone. This product has pretty much slowed down or even stopped the hair falling out. Also, I highly recommend taking Biotin 5000mg once daily. Two of these combined has increased the volume and thickness in my hair massively. It has also increased the growth in my facial hair (and other areas!) considerably!
