good product but arrived open
This product is very easy to apply. I painted a bare wooden floor, three coats provided full coverage.I also purchased the product that comes with the applicator and used that to apply it. The applicator worked very well and did indeed speed up the process. Each coat was dry within 2 hours if not sooner. (Painted during warm temperatures). The low odour meant we could use the room almost straight away.Unfortunately the paint arrived open in the box. The tin of paint was dented and the lid had popped open. Most of the paint was caught by the heavy duty bag surrounding the tin so there was almost no leakage into the box.The box was undamaged, it looked as though the tin had perhaps been dropped whilst being packed and the lid being open was not noticed. There were two catches attached to the lid, they had acted like hinges.I was able to pour the paint back into the tin and reseal it. I don't think a lot of product was list, it was just a bit messy.

Good, but…
Good product but multiple coats are needed. I have followed instructions and added 3 coats. Definitely not enough… wood was still showing as the paint is soooooo sheer. After 4th coat I gave up and added coat of heard-wearing wall paint and added 3 more coats of Ronseal paint on top. Stairs look great now, surface is strong and easy to clean. If I would only use this paint, it would require at least 10 coats to ensure they are well covered.

Much whiter than ash white
Needs 4 or more coats to fully cover touch dry after an hour in a warm room wish is good.I don’t what type of roller your supposed to use maybe a gloss roller don’t use emulsion roller doesn’t leave a good enough finish.

Terrible product
I wanted to use a product specifically for flooring (as previously I've had good results with gloss). This paint is like watery milk. Even after spending a lot of time stiring I notice that there's not a lot of white coming through even in the tin. Application is watery. I've put one coat down and I foresee having to put anoth three or four down to get a reasonable finish.AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Terrible in every aspect! The people that have rated this positively must not have a lot of experience or have rated another product and it's somehow ended up on the Diamond hard paint review.

Bare wood floors - flaked off immediately
I sanded and cleaned the wooden floorboards of our new home.I applied the paint with a painting pass on a stick, it was thinner than expected but I wasn’t going for pristine I was simply trying to create a virgin floor until we could get new carpets/laminate.Immediately it became clear that in some sections the paint had shattered and wiped off like dust.I don’t know why. It’s not the whole floor, about 10%.Besides that I am happy with the finish for my own needs, but I might have been tempted to keep the boards if it had taken the paint better.

fantastic
We got someone in to strip and stain our staircase. Despite choosing and drawing a circle around the honey oak colour we wanted, I came home from work to find the decorator had applied THREE coats of dark teak (a dark chocolate colour). Well I was devastated until a friend suggested Ronseal Diamond Hard floor paint. Along with a base coat of Zinsser 1-2-3 primer, within 3 days, my stairs were a beautiful, fresh white, with a lovely satin finish. This 2.5L can was enough to put 4 coats on 14 stairs, a landing about 12x3ft and all the bannisters and handrails. It dries very quick;y - touch dry in an hour, walkable-on in bare feet in about 3 hours (having the heating on helps on a cold day). Two weeks later and it's bearing up to constant tramping up and down in shoes incredibly well. Wipes clean easily with a damp cloth. I will definitely be sprucing up the skirting boards with this product.

Really good.
I didnt realize it was water based, but i used it anyway. Its a bit thin and watery, but it dries nice and hard.Youll need plenty of coats or a good layer of primer underneath as it isnt all that opaque, but once it dries its good stuff.
