A Very Powerful Machine This!
I've got to say & I think what I type won't just be my opinion & it should also come in handy for potential buyers of this product! Now the Tiller is pretty light weight the main weight is in the base (the engine/blades area) of the product & when you turn it on it is off at the base as in those turning blades act like forward force pulling wheels despite turning over the ground it's pretty comical if you think of it like a Warner Bros cartoon as you'll literally be pulled & fast, so where you were there'll be like a puff of smoke & you’ve gotta kind of laugh after the initial shock 😂 plus it bounces up & down a good bit too as it’s a few sets of turning blades on varying depths/levels of soil with or without small or big roots, you’ll always get a bouncy pull even if you have a good even smooth soil in your garden. You will get used to it after a few uses but if you've got a slope in your garden or wherever it is that you're using this you're very likely to loose your footing (well depending it’s so easy though) & then it’s not slightly comical at all even though the blades do stop instantly after releasing the power grip it’s just being dragged & losing your footing it’s not good. The products extremely easy to put together & it does exactly what it says it'll do & it does it well especially when you go in one direct & then go across it so initially you go back & forth & then go left & right over the same area it is ready for seeding after say a week of airing & it pulls all of any small weeds main roots up for you to just pick up & clear. It's a little noisy, a little noisier than a lawnmower so the middle of the day is the ideal time to use it depending on your area, neighbours, etc.The blades & the power pull up & cut through some fat roots that you're best to untangle immediately after unplugging the power tool to do so as you'll just end up with a puzzle of roots to untangle if it's left until the job is finished & please trust me it’s a horrible tedious task to unrave roots & grass & weeds & such! And be very careful of any decorative concrete rock garden, flower bed border slabs as this will break them so easily this is another lesson that I learnt the hard way.I have one quite BIG issue with it & that's that you have to use two hands to get it going & as typed earlier once it's going it's going & if you've got your left hand over on the right hand side to press the safety button in & you've got your right hand in the same area to squeeze it's power on grip you haven't got an even left & right hand grip for proper balance & again it's just shoots off, I can't stress that point out enough but you'll find a way, eventually get used to it.It's a very good product with a great & fair price tag on it.

Saved my back
I love this machine. Seriously awesome piece of kit when it comes to digging the ground. You need to ensure the soil is damp enogh though just water it down half an hour before you start let it soak in and this machine wil chew it up and spit it out with minimum effort on yout part except holdin on and steering it into position. Takes a little getting used to but its not hard to master, I found it works best when pulled backwards through the soil. Only critisism is the position of the on/off safety button. Below the right hand too far down to reach with anything other than your left hand putting you in an awkward position with your left arm accross your body.. Makes starting the Tiller rather awkward and a little unwieldy because the rotary blades turn straight away and you can only hold on with your right hand for a second or two as the left hand is needed to depress the safety switch. Just a little niggle rather than a major flaw it could / should have been designed slightly better on this front. Personally though I consider the money very well spent and its a massive help in the garden.

For the price you cant go wrong!
Never used a rotorvator before. This Von Haus made one was one of the cheapest out there and the reviews were predominantly very good. Assembly was very easy. Using the machine was quite scary at first but you soon get used to it. The soil being tilled was very stony and very heavy clay. I needed it to till the ground in preparation for creating a lawn area approx. 20m x 20m. Given it was clay I wasn’t looking forward to digging it over by hand with a fork, so a cheap rotovator made sense. Essentially it made mince meat of the soil and did an amazing job! However because it was on stony ground and clay once switched on it was like trying to control a wild horse ! For something that is only just over 1Kw in power this little beast is pretty impressive and tilled the area in just over 10 mins, so saved a lot of time and energy. I would thoroughly recommend this rotovator. There are a few negative reviews and these are predominantly focused on the mounting of the base to the motor casing. Although the mounting screws are pretty flimsy and there could have been a better way to mount the bars, they do however do the job and I didn’t have any problem, but I can imagine if used repeatedly on several projects over a number of years that these screw mounts could well fail ( I am sure you could fix this problem easily in some DIY fashion and probably make it better if it did fail). However, you pay for what you get. This rotorvator is very cheap, but it does do the job very well and if it is only for a small project and only needed once, you can sell it on as used for £40.00 to someone, so for the sake of only £20 or thereabouts you have saved yourself some very back breaking work and probably a whole day’s work, and I think that is well worth the price paid. All in all, for what it is………great machine!

Quality piece of kit!!
It's great, kicks like a mule I actually hit tree roots. Get ready for take ooof!!!, I've never used a rotovator so it WAS well like it took off. Once you get used to it though it was great,( just watch out for tree roots !!!) And it's easy enough to assemble, has to be for me!. Seriously nice pice of kit real quality, and what would have taken months . Well probably a day. I'm not in the the habit of giving reviews or leaving em.. you just won't be disappointed with this ,trust me!!!!

Brilliant piece of kit
Brilliant piece of equipment, I’m now over a year into ownership and the punishment I have put this through is incredible that it’s still going. I’m on western isles of Scotland so there are so many rocks and boulders. This rotavator kicks up holders with ease.Only downside is the the safety button is a pain sometimes..Brilliant, buy with confidence.
