Good quality flute, Excellent value.
Really pleased with this flute - my daughter is grade 1, and this replaces an old second hand one. the sound seems great and the keys are quiet. Flute teacher was impressed, and the price is good - let's face it, these things can be REALLY pricey. Case is solid. Remember to use the small enclosed pot of vaseline when assembling it, or you'll never get it apart again :) only just managed to avoid resorting to a vice.

Excellent instrument for the money
It is an excellent beginners instrument, my daughter is still using it almost everyday for few hours of practice. Now after a year of use it has a bit of faded nickel plating, possibly due to lack of polishing. Despite that it still sounds good. The case clips should be made more secure as they keep undoing themselves even as you carry it.

Flute
I've been playing the flute for about 8 years now and this is the second one I've had...after finishing school and deciding that I wanted to carry on playing the flute now and then I decided I needed to buy a new flute. I wanted a flute that was well priced, that was the main point for me - originally wanted a Yamaha however they were too expensive. Looked online and found this one so I thought I would give it a go.I'm grade 7 so I needed a flute that would be able to play the high notes well and that would be for a more advanced player...I was very skeptical about this flute because of this.I have to say though, 2 years after buying it I am very impressed with how well it plays, it's not perfect or very quality but I have definitely enjoyed playing it.I think it's now time to get a new one and I would probably go for a better quality flute because the f sharp is a bit dodgy and it's got rather rusty already!Overall though, it's not been too bad it's just a shame that it's not great quality but I guess you get what you pay for!I would however if your more of an advanced player go for a Yamaha or Trevor James....something like that even though it's more expensive, it would be worth the money!

wonderful quality product
Feels and looks to be good quality, haven't learned how to play it yet, must say it has a solid case which has sat in my drawer for 6 months without any problems at all, it doesn't rattle, more of squeak when moved and hasnt so far made any strange noises or gathered too much dust. Hoping to get it out and see if it works in the next few months so maybe a proper feedback then. Oh Also it did come with some instructions but I've lost them so sort of stuck, tried blowing in it, but not sure if i was blowing in the right end so tried the other end and a terrible noise came out akin to Odin breaking wind, however persistence kills resistance so I will when my new learn to play the flute book arrives, try and learn to play how great Thou Art, which is why i brought it in the first place, but I ordered the book and it has still not arrived, in fact writing this has reminded me to get in touch with the seller as it is now five months since ordering it!

Faulty.
I bought this flute after my trusted vintage one would cost more to repair than buy a new one. This one looked a bit plasticy compared to my old one. I found the lower notes very easy to play, but not so with the top scale, the notes sounding very fuzzy.I found the thumb Bflat key very difficult to use. I took it to a repair shop today, and he said one of the springs was missing, so will be exchanging for hopefully one that works properly.Update:Just received replacement.Same problem with Bflat thumb key. Also half the notes won't play AND The key next to the G# gets stuck because they are touching.Returning for a refund

Odyssey flute outfirv
The instrument was bought for a Christmas present for my wife, we had no experience of this type of instrument, you need to be patient when putting the thing together, but once done we had a good looking a competent piece ok kit. Still learning to play, but the instrument is good quality and good value for money
