My fan works but I can't seem to change the timer on it, despite turning the knob. Am I doing somthing wrong or is this a faulty item?

Hello. Sorry to hear you got a problem with the timer. Mine is connected via the bathroom light switch and goes off after about a minute, of switching the light off. I think this is the minimum time setting. Like you say if changing the timer duration doesn't work, I suspect it's faulty. Good luck.

You can but you need a electrician to bridge the live wires across as this fan has 2 live inputs. Do not do this yourself.

I have one which isn't self-closing. Is it possible to get a cover for that one?

I doubt a cover is available. The closing function when not switched on to extract, is I believe a gravity drop system. I suppose the only access would be via the loft ceiling where you attach the extractor to the flexible tube leading to the outside wall. It may be blocked with some debris. Otherwise you could remove the extractor from the ceiling and see from there.
