Very easy to use!
We have really enjoyed our campfire in a can. Our family has loved making s’mores with this and the ability to enjoy a campfire without the hassle! Highly recommend!

A Great Addition to our Rustic Weekend in the Mountains
This portable campfire was priced right and we all enjoyed it so much. We stayed at a rental cabin that did not allow campfires. The portable campfire came to the rescue. It gave the campfire vibe without breaking the rules. It burns clean and was a great safe alternative to a wood fire. The flame is surprisingly high for the size of the tin. We got a good 5-6 hours out of it. Just be sure to place it on something that won't be damaged by heat, as the tin does get quite hot. We put in on a flat-sided piece of wood and that worked fine.

Mostly met my expectations
I had a few Duraflame versions and thought I’d try this brand out. Bought them for my daughter’s graduation party last week at a park. One group decided to try one out. Not much later, they complained that it made their marshmallows have a chemical taste and it turned them black. I tried it out today and it does turn them black. I couldn’t taste a difference in flavor. Then again, I’m a Gen Xer - we used to drink out of hose. The other challenge was trying all 4 wooden wicks without burning my fingers. It may be easier if you have a lighter that works really well. I ended up tipping the candle to each side to get the other wicks lit.I didn’t know what to expect, so. I don’t feel super upset. I’d really just like to know what’s turning the marshmallows black. Are they safe to eat?

My personal Pit fire
It is so fun to have these two little fire pits in my small backyard patio to set the mood when we are with friends and especially when my 4 yo granddaughter visits cuz it gives us special time to make s"mores with her. They provide a lot of burn time so it won't be as quickly necessary to replace these. Using the cover to put out the flame works nicely. Love them!! Now our granddaughter happily anticipates having these available to make s'mores with her grandparents!

Such a fun product!
We ordered this portable campfire for making s'mores on the 4th of Julyand it worked perfectly. We've used it another time since and it worked just well and I think we will be able to use it for making s'mores a few more times this summer. It lights easily, has a high flame, cooks the marshmallows consistently and is easy to extinguish when done. My kids had a ton of fun and I loved how affordable and easy to use it is.

Atmospheric but quite smokey black...NOT FOOD SAFE!
We have an out of commission propane fire pit table. I bough these to have some fire element nestled in among the stones. Lighting them was surprisingly tough to do (perhaps a safety issue to make them safer to ship?). I used a standard flame wand lighter and the wicks refused to light... for a long time.Once all four wicks were finally lit, they worked great and stayed lit even with the windy conditions. There was a good amount of flames that covered the entire can. It must be placed on a fire-proof surface because the can gets HOOOOTTTT! The burn time was only a little over 2 hours, and please note the directions say to turn off when 1 inch of wax remains. That happened like 30 minutes in. I let it burn all the way to the end when it snuffed itself out. Also it says "clean burning" but there was a lot of black smoke and soot residue left behind. I didn't smell the smoke but it was there. NO WAY would I use this to make S'mores and there's NO WAY THIS IS FOOD SAFE... be warned.

Good for emergencies
Used them for an outdoor date and is good and easy to light. However, if its cold outside you need to sit on it to feel warmth, which is not bad if its for an emergency or not too cold outside. The burn time for me was 3 hours... but 2 hours in the fire slowly loses heat. Not good for 5 hours
