So far, so very good
This is a day 2 review and will be updated for 1 month, 6 months and one year.So far, this has been excellent. Easy to install (did it on my own) and the fact it folds made maneuvering it into position in my home gym much (much) easier than I thought it would be. It was well packed and felt like the manufacturer takes care. So, installation went well. The bolts lined up perfectly and it was very quick as the main components are all pre-built, you just bolt them together. One thing to note, if you over-tighten you sometimes miss-align another hole so put them all in finger tight and then tighten with the provided allen key. Another tip, if you have a professional allen key set with a near vertical key (rather than the L shape provided) use that as some of the holes are slightly hard to get to and you will have a better angle to tighten up.It's not immediately clear but you can fold the running deck up once clear of packaging and roll out of the box to where you want to place the unit before you add the arms and the console. Make it much easier. So - about 1 hour from cutting the plastic straps on the box to switching it on. It looks like a professional running machine (if a little plasticky) and more importantly it feels like a running machine you'd go on in a gym. The deck is very robust and a great length; there's no worry of falling off the back even if you have a large stride.I like to run 5K every day at a decent pace, finishing the last 1K with an ever increasing sprint up to around 16kmph. I'm 44 and 13 stone so I can make a noise pounding away...out of the box this machine felt very very solid and a joy to run on. The desk absorbs the impact well but doesn't feel overly spongy.I shall be trying a 10K at the weekend and then some of the interval programmes. I'm actually really looking forward to it.So far so very good. To get this standard of equipment for sub £1000 has come as a bit of a surprise as I did a lot of research prior to this purchase and I was considering going for a £700 machine from Decathalon which I tried and was definitely a compromise yet one I felt I could live with. At the moment, for £300 more I haven't had to make that compromise.Oh and the delivery came early as well.

If you are 15 stones or over just steer away from this model.
The JTX Sprint-7 really does not handle weight. If you are 15 stones or over just steer away from this model, no matter what specs says.Despite maintenance (lube-oil only) and the seller engineer intervention the treadmill keeps altering speed by his own will (generally slowing down a bit), more often if you use inclination at the same time. After more than 2 years I still regret having bought this model and it will soon go for a more solid one.I am afraid I will steer clear of JTX.

A quality fitness tool
Delivered within two days of my order, well-packaged and reasonably easy to assemble. I did this single-handedly, but it is heavy. I set it up in my garage.A very robust treadmill, with an excellent console, easy to read and easy to make adjustments to speed and incline settings whilst running. More expensive treadmills offer a bewildering array of displays and functions, most of which will be rarely used. The JTX Sprint5 allows you to read easily Speed (Kilometres per hour), Pace (Minutes per kilometre), Duration, No. of 400m Laps, Incline and Heart Rate. I don't need to know anything else. I wear a Polar HRM that has the facility to upload a graph of my heart rate to their website so I have a complete record of how I am training.I can't run at 20 kph but the 20% incline is superb as a change from running on the flat to running much more slowly, building up hip and calf muscle strength. Lesser inclines just don't give me the workout I need. The 99 pre-programmed training routines are not very useful, even for me, an experienced runner.Much better is the option to create one's own Customised routine. Unfortunately there is only the facility to create 3 of these. They are very easy to programme and when you have selected your own programme, you specify the time that you want to run for, and the programme spreads the routine out appropriately across that time. You can make adjustments to speed and incline during the routine if you want to. I use this facility a lot.The 'ride' is a little bit harder (less cushioned) than the machines I have used at the gym. Pity - so only 4 stars from me.Very good value for money, well made, and I reckon it will last a long time. Overall I am very pleased with it and can recommend it wholeheartedly.

Price is very good for the quality of the product
Delivery was very quick and efficient and the customer support good. Final assembly stated to use two people although I managed comfortably to put it together myself - it is heavy though to ensure it's sturdy when in use. The instructions were user friendly and the operating layout and screen is clear and very easy to use. I have used the machine a number of times already and has its not missed a beat. I haven't used any of the set programmes as prefer to manually adjust the speed / incline. Very stable and quiet when operating so I can easily hear the TV when running. Folds very well and my wife finds the controlled decent of the running deck to be very helpful. Price is very good for the quality of the product.

Good basic functionality. Heart rate feature doesn't work
The treadmill does the basics well. Stable, good speed and incline management.Display is very dated. Advertised Heart Rate monitor with Polar connectivity does not work. Company has ignored request for help on this feature suggesting they know it doesn't work.
