Durable and Useful!
I purchased this for my nephew (10 months) for Christmas. His big brother already had one and wouldn't let the baby play with it - it's THAT good! My sister loves that they now each have their own to play with (less fighting!) I love that it is gender neutral and teaches shapes, colors, and motor skills, and the elephant is pretty darn cute too. It's quite durable. I have this one saved in my idea bank as a go-to gift for all babies.

Great toy for an infant
My one year old son loves this elephant shape sorter. We saw it on baby einstein and had to get it. Body spins by a handle shaped like a tail. Five blocks: circle, pentagon, square, triangle, and star. Tip the truck and they all come spilling out. Great toy for an infant.

Educational & Fun Toy for Toddler
Fun spin on the traditional shape-sorter. I agree with previous reviewers that the trunk should have been more tilted upwards to prevent the shapes from just popping out without pushing the ears down - takes away from the teaching experience - but still a nice toy.

Cute elephant toy? Sold!
I bought it for my 7.5 month old daughter. She is too young for the shapes. She thinks they are tasty not shapes, but she'll learn. She loves turning it around, looking at it. She loves turning the middle around and then trying to eat it. I'm sure she'll love putting the shapes in it when she gets older. That is if we don't loose them.

Nice shape sorter, unique.
Shape sorter with a twist. My little guy loves that he can push on the trunk to "release" the shapes. At 15 months he is not quite grasping the concept of turing the tail but he can turn it manually. It's adorable. I do wish it came with EXTRA shapes. One for each space is not really enough with how they lose things.

Shapes don't always stay inside elephant (can fall out without moving ears)
Toy is cute and my daughter enjoys its but the shapes don't always stay inside. There's a cute feature whereby the ears are supposed to release the shapes from inside the elephant's stomach. Sometimes the shapes just come out without engaging the ears. Otherwise, it's a cute toy and helps teach matching of shapes.

Very colorful and sturdy.
Our 8-month old granddaughter LOVES this shape sorter. She figured out very quickly that she could get all the shapes out of the elephant's nose, but she's still working on putting the correct shapes into its belly. Very colorful and sturdy.

Good toy
This toy did well even when it was dropped so many times. Helped my son learn shapes and color. But just like any other toy, he played with it for 20 mons and he got bored. He will get back to it on another 2 weeeks may be
