delicious!
Well, it's a bit pricey. I sort of hesitated, but I knew this particular product is very delicious, so I bought it. The noodles have very good texture, nice al dente, and flavor is good too. I used to buy Tomoshiraga brand, because it's a lot cheaper, but you get what you paid for. Tomoshiraga is edible, but the texture is awful. You'll never get good al dente. This one is pretty close to what I know from Japan where I grew up.

Better than average somen
Pros: Smooth texture, flavorful by itself, obviously a better quality somen than its cheaper counterparts which is not a surprise since it's made in Japan.Cons: Pricey but if you want quality, you'll get what you pay for.I'd purchase it again.

Good Noodles, But Need To Rinse A Lot To Remove Saltiness!
I bought the 2 Pack of Hime Japanese Dried Somen Noodles, 28.21-Ounce.These noodles are pretty tasty, but they are very salty!DO NOT ADD SALT IN YOUR COOKING WATER!To remove the saltiness from the noodles, after I cook them at a medium boil for 3 minutes, I rinse them about 4 times in really cold water. then, I let them soak for about a minute or 2 in very cold water. Then, I then rinse them 2 more times. After that, I am very pleased with the flavor and texture for these cold Somen noodles.I do think that for around a $15 price point for 2 packages, these are priced a bit high. No Asian stores near me though so I guess I am paying more for convenience. I love Somen Noodles though, so I just keep buying these. Enjoy!

Love these
Buy them whenever you see them because they're an import and I'm always afraid they'll be a shortage. They cook quickly in a small pot of broth, 32 ounces of broth,,,they only take seconds to cook, then add a boiled egg opened and laid atop the noodles, add a handful of sliced up scallions, use the organic ones from Whole Foods, they're the best. You can add some meat if you want and have a steaming bowl of noodles with veg....filling and healthy and so delicious.
