I've used the IBL 420s , IBL 550s and IBL 630S.Low Light : better viewing of weld job (before initiating weld) in low light conditions. Late evening before dark outdoor job can be seen through the LCD screen before initiating weld. IBL 630s - Best : IBL 550s - Good : IBL 420s - Poor.Battery Change : IBL 550s easy access to change battery. IBL 630s has 4 push clips for battery change. IBL 420s has 4 removal screws for battery change.Helmet build quality : All three helmets are sturdy but one has to be careful not to over tighten the helmet flip up knobs.Viewing area : IBL 630s has more viewing area 100 x 50mm and gives less strain on the head and neck. IBL 550s : 93 x 43mm and IBL 420s : 93 x 43mm.Sensors : IBL 630s - 4 sensors, IBL 550s - 2 and IBL 420s - 2.Job markings : markings done by markers and pencils are more visible by the 630s. 550s is good but the 420s can be a little challenging because of the green tint in the filter.Conclusion : 630s is good for as a Workshop and Outdoor with low light conditions.550s is good for Workshop and Outdoor with good lighting.420s is good for outdoors with good lighting.Please clean helmets once a month with a soft brush or blower this ensures the good functionality of sensors and better LCD life, do not leave the battery inside too long without use. Switch the control knob to grind mode when the helmet isn't being used (this disables the sensors and saves battery life)Compared to other products in the silimar price range, quality and performance wise I give this a 5 star rating.

Though this looks bit more costly than other welding helmets on Amazon, it is certainly worth those extra couple of hundreds. Highly recommended this

The media could not be loaded. Actually I am quite confused to rate or provide any kind of review over this product as the product is working great there is no problem with the auto darkening and the darkness control and everything but the thing is that the helmet can't be steady It's continuously moving and when I am just welding it come down to my chest , after welding if I putting the helmet over my head the helmet is automatically coming down and that can be a very much reached when I am just cutting with a grinder and it coming down and covering my face suddenly it's a very much great problem my face is quite big still the helmet and the view point is coming down to my chest that's design problem I think and its idiotic and when just I removing it putting up to my head it suddenly coming down and that can be a very much risk , all the nuts and everything is made by plastic and those are very much brittle cause at first time what I got the helmet side not broken cause that made by plastic and the gear system also don't work properly as all those are made by plastic and the total system is very much complex where the helmet over the head and the side of gear system is very much complex and that don't work properly that's the basic problem that's why I am returning it otherwise the product is great

The product really helps in accurately positioning and controlling the welding electrode. Already completed two welding projects with the help of IBell’s auto darkening welding helmet

The helmet flops down low so that the viewing window is at my nose level instead of eye level. Tried tightening each and every adjustment in the headband and also the swivel points near the ear, but to no avail. It is still so loose!!! Also it seems other reviewers have faced this exact same problem, so it is not isolated to my unit.Shame that the useful technology in this helmet is held back by poorly designed usability and fit.
