With "tortoise-sitting", we needed to be sure of a safe product. This seems to fit the bill, each piece of research seemed to indicate this is what is required/suitable for a Horsfield Tortoise.It has proven fairly absorbent; but, only after the new pack was allowed to dry out, not what the packaging indicated. However, it works for us! The pack is sufficient to allow at least 3 changes of substrate. We also used a small amount in the transport basket (converted cat carrier - as provided) whilst changing the substrate within the heated living area.

Very quick delivery and well packaged. Highly recommended. Used in my tortoise table.

The little 4 legged monster loves to dig in it 🐢Slightly cheaper than the pet shop, I prefer to go and get it locally but when they only keep 1 bag in stock and it sells out, what can I do?Would buy again, the bag came in a cardboard box and was intact, but I do wonder if the courier might break these sometimes.

This gets very dusty and as you could assume that when the tortoise goes in the water brown he comes out absolute covers in mud
