So far so good, I've had this for about a month and no concerns. Regulaly install any updates and it has been very good.

Amazing Laptop. You get w11 system by default however I moved back to windows 10. Battery works for 5-6 hours depending on settings you choose. I ran gta 5 it runs smoothly on 60 frames however laptop heats up quickly so you better off investing into cooling mat. I can run Premier pro without any issues. This laptop is ideal for programming and using virtual machines. Usb ports are solid very firm, you have to use a bit of strength to remove it. Bare in mind this laptop designed for w11 so when you move to w10 you'll have to download wifi drivers seperatley

This is listed as a laptop with 1Tbyte SSD. It would have been helpful to know that it comes with 2 drives, a C-drive (about 200Gbyte) and phyisical separate D-drive (1Tbyte). This is useful to know becuase Microsoft one-drive does not support 2 drives on same device. I initially tried to use the D-drive as the one linked to one-drive, but the D-drive proved unstable, often disappearing after more than a short time of transferring files. This causes one-drive to revert to the C-drive, giving all sorts of problems. The sound also stopped working after a few days, and no attempt using diagnostics showed the presence of any sound hardware. I ended up doing a full reset of the machine multiple times, but concluded it has at least 2 hardware faults, so returned it to Amazon. Disappointing because in other ways seemed like a good laptop.

I wrote the original review - only thing that there is no back-lighting on key board. After three months of usage - laptop started crashing - Norton utilities indicated there were 6400 issues with the computer. I relied on Dell support software - finally the computer would not boot up and there was an error message - " No boot device found" - I got in touch with Dell support. on each occasion though they give case number, but when they ask to perform tests - it takes time - Agent reassures not to worry we will wait for test to complete. But they leave the chat.The issue was with BIOS - on my BIOS screen it showed different to what the agent was saying. The agent cut and pasted large number of things that I could do though I asked to be taken step by step. Eventually after three days of calls - Dell support did not resolve the issue. Eventually, I got in touch with Amazon, they immediately said they will refund full amount I paid and postage. Amazon agent was very good and sent me labels. In future, I will be vary of buying large 1 Tigabit disk drive - lot of data to loose.

I'm self taught with pcs so don't understand all the jargon. Could only decide upon provision of memory size, RAM and operation all of which compared favourably in price to other makes of similar dimensions. Apart from having to learn the function of Windows 11 my only problem is opening it with my stumpy fingers. Its slim build with flush edges will cause a problem for ladies with long finger nails.

We are just getting used to using a laptop after years of using a large desktop computer. But everything seems fine as far as we know.

Returned without using as there would be conflict with my antivirus protection

Once working laptop was nice and fast. It would not restart. Spent most of an afternoon onto Dell support who were very good. They suspect that it had been dropped (no obvious damage). I suspect that it was a return. The plastic bags holding the mains plug and power supply were clearly not new, cable itself not wrapped as expected.Not impressed with the time to get a refund, 3 days to collect then 14 days after they receive it.
