Absolutely a worthy egg substitute
If you've ever had scrambled eggs for breakfast at a hotel buffet... that is EXACTLY what you are going to get. Is it as good as fresh eggs? No. Is it almost as good as fresh eggs? Yes, no doubt. It's pretty close. If you're using this for cake or anything else that needs eggs, I don't think you would be able to tell a difference at all. When you're going purist and make scrambled eggs, it'll work just fine. Not the best, but definitely not the worst scrambled eggs. I can't taste a chemical taste at all as someone else mentioned. The shelf-life is -outstanding- I'll be set for this pandemic and the next probably. As far as price is concerned, like a lady in another review did, I did the math... and it's a pretty good deal, considering how much egg you can make from the powder. As mentioned, self-life: EXCELLENT, price: GOOD, taste: GOOD. Not only will I buy again, I already have ordered more.

Ideal for WW2 recipes
I mostly use this for wartime recipes. The reason I only gave 4 stars is because the packaging is dreadful. It would be much better to reduce the amount, an awful lot of the powder, and deliver in a more substantial container. The product must be kept in an air poof container and the marketing department of the producers could see their sales increase if a repro dried egg tin was used. The single use plastic bag is not acceptable.

Great.
Whole egg powder is a great alternative to fresh eggs. I found it easier to digest than fresh eggs. Makes smooth scrambled eggs.

Expensive but good.
My local branch of a nationwide grocery chain has been out of eggs for over a month. I'm not a big consumer of eggs, but I must have them for baking. It was time to try powdered eggs. I am happy to report there is no detectable difference in cake, but custard is so much easier to make. Again, there is no obvious difference in taste. I will try an omelet when I need a quick meal, but I expect it will turn out OK based on my experience so far.

Messy buT ok
Firstly this arrives in just a plastic bag so is messy to transfer Before storage.Secondly this isn’t asDry as other powders so clumps a lotThirdly the make up instructions result in a ‘too concentrated’ mix which gives oddResults when frying/scramblingTaste is ok (similar To pasteurised egg) rather than fresh eggHow To improve. Dry it more in manufacture and put it in containers insteadIf bags

Good
I've just ordered more. You have to get use to how much you use and added water. Best I find is a good TBS heaped and add enough water to make a runny paste.. - Like a pancake mix.. It makes great omelets.. I pan fry then put under the grill to finish, it fluffs it up. You can add whatever you want just as any other omelet.I also use round egg molds in the pan and they come out a nice shape for egg and bacon buns.. ;PI really like this produce now and the price and amount you get - I will measure out the next delivery - is a lot.. Very usable and tastes good.. ( You can also put into a squeeze bottle and make a lattice. Then while it's still hot and pliable, fold it over something else.. ;P Use it also in pastry's.. Very universal..

Useful stand-by to have during lock-down and tastes good too
Takes me back to my childhood! Very useful to have as a standby during Corona Virus lock-down and very popular with both my dogs too.

Eggscellent!
If you know how make scrambled eggs using real eggs then you should have no problem with this product.I think two heaped table spoons for each person, then place in a tumbler and add some milk to bring it back to the consistency of a fresh egg. Stir as much as you can and add some salt. Next add some cream, double or single and or some fresh full fat milk. Stir again. Using a small or larger pan add enough butter or buttery spread etc. Heat gently and add the liquid while stirring all the time. Once it becomes fluffy and thick add to some toast for a real treat. Enjoy! PS I have done this twice and it tastes great!
