Tastes just like restaurant quality katsu sauce!

I hate to admit this, but this Korean made Katsu sauce with pineapple tastes better than my homemade sauce! It has the traditional tomato paste base, but the added apple juice concentrate and pineapple give it a delightful tang that I really enjoy, and true to its promise, it pairs wonderfully with pork. I made Tonkatsu to review the sauce and I enjoyed it so much that I just wish the sauce came in larger volume containers because I'm going to use this up quickly. I'm sure this would taste equally delicious on chicken cutlets too and will try that next.This comes in a double sealed flip top bottle - a foil inner seal plus a clear seal over the opening as well so be sure to remove both before trying to pour it. While the bottle is labelled in Korean it does have an English label attached on the back with ingredients, nutritional information, and the warnings that it contains soybeans and wheat. It also uses high fructose corn syrup which is why I gave it four stars rather than 5. The best by date on the bottle I received is 10 months away, and the bottle doesn't specify how to store it but I think it should be refrigerated after opening. All in all, this is a delicious tangy Katsu sauce that provides good value for its price!

It’s really good

This classic katsu sauce tastes good. It is pretty thick in consistency which makes it great to drizzle on food without it running off. It has a sweet and savory flavor as expected. It is flavorful but a little too sweet for my taste. I tried it on some pork cutlets which I deep fried with flour and panko. They were delicious with the thick sauce on top.This comes in a plastic bottle with a flip-top lid. It is printed in Korean language but has an English label on it. It uses HFCS as the main sweetener, and contains soybean and wheat. Product of Korea. Overall, this is a good katsu sauce. It is sweet and savory, albeit a little too sweet for me. If you don't mind HFCS, it is a good katsu sauce to consider.

I love the pop top better than the twist top. Taste is pretty good too.

The product information lists it as gluten free. It is NOT. It clearly states on the ingredient list on the back of the bottle that is not shown in the product pictures, that this product contains wheat from the soy sauce used in its recipe. Wasted my money.

Secure, packaging, and fast shipping. However, the product reminded me more of A1 sauce. It definitely tasted like steak sauce. I wanted a more catsup based flavor.
