This paper is very sturdy. We decided to use it with our granddaughter to make hand-print wrapping paper. This was a hit with our daughter as it was used to wrap a Mother's Day present from our granddaughter. It took paint extremely well and holds up when wrapping. No tears through, even with heavy objects.

Quality heavy pattern paper. I use to make patterns for leather working, and it holds up great.

I use this stuff for EVERYTHING. Making a pattern for sewing or woodworking, as the first layer to protect the floor under a drop cloth when staining or painting furniture, cutting out picture frame sizes to figure out picture layouts on the wall, spreading out on the front porch for visiting knee-grabbers to draw to their heart's content, even wrapping packages when you don't want to look like you're shipping an advertisement.It's not super-thick (which can get unwieldy to work with) but it's not super-thin. Not like the small lightweight paper bags you get for a single greeting card, but more like a sturdy full-sized paper bag strength. Very very glad I found this.

If you are looking for a good quality paper for making patterns at home, this is a good choice. It is labeled as light weight, but it is still very sturdy paper. First, I appreciated that way this was packed. The roll itself was wrapped in paper, and then slide into a plastic bag to protect the paper. This versatile roll of paper can be used to hand-draft your own patterns, or any other project where thicker paper is needed (such as making protective book covers. A great addition to my sewing tools.

It's a very stiff paper but still easy to work with and not too thick.This will work well for templating some winding stairs that I am building
