Q: Will the larger 7.5Ah battery fit in the 20" push mower that comes with the smaller 5Ah battery?

Sorry, can't say. I use the 5.0Ah battery. I'm sure the vendor of the 20" mower has that info, tho. I've been quite happy with my set-up so far.

Q: What is the overall life expectancy of the 56v 7.5 ah battery ?

All my used up EGO batteries (3 so far, 7.5, 5 & 2.5 ah) lasted just a little longer than the 3 year warranty. I have one 2.5 ah that is the oldest with a dated June 2016. I am retired and not in the lawn business.

Q: Isn't it odd that the price of the battery is as much as the whole mower?

Not worth it the battery has yet to last a year and customer service never gets back to you

Q: With 1 battery, I can not even finish my small yard and have to recharge. Where can I buy a cheap battery, the prices for batteries are way to high!

All places I checked batteries are about the same price. I would get in touch with EGO directly they may replace it for you. It shouldn’t die that fast. I can cut my yard twice about 30 - 45 minutes each time and still have a charge left.
