hot, spicy, creepy, and DARK babies
The scenes of the FMC & MMC are so damn hot, but PLEASE READ THE TW BEFORE READING. Because wow could it be creepy but it made it even more gripping of a read for myself, I was so caught up with both characters and their developments through the book was great. The stalking, the sensing each other is such a true feeling that you can’t help but be compelled to keep reading through the darkness of it. The spice, SPICED but again, read TW because there is some more hurt physically and emotionally that some would find triggering!!

PreHeat the Oven!
I really liked this book! Especially, since I have a mortician friend named M. The way the duel POVs are written was unique in that it would occasionally rewind and show the other characters POV during the same situation. Overall, it was a great story. I wish that Em’s safety would have been put in jeopardy. It would have made his love for her so much more intense. Also, in the beginning it made him sound like a sexual deviant but every private encounter was fairly tame. Either way, I really enjoyed the read and can’t wait to check the other ones out.

Strangely disjointed, but still good?
First, I have to say the beginning of this book had some pretty bad editing errors, the worst being that a whole line of dialogue was missing. Thank goodness for dual POV where the blanks were filled in. However, the errors mostly disappeared in the second half of the book. This story held my attention for the most part. But, the author’s choices in how it was written left me scratching my head sometimes. The prologue has a scene with the MMC, but I never understood its purpose. If the author was trying to establish his character, I don’t know that that scene was even needed. The MMC runs a scandalous club (if you catch my meaning) and is apparently into some hard core stuff (at least alluded to in the prologue). However, once he and the FMC get together, there are very few spicy scenes. She stays with him for over a month, but you would never know it unless the author told you. It seemed from the way it was written that she had been there only a couple of weeks. I don’t know, their whole relationship/love development was thin.Backing up to when he kidnaps her. Spoiler: He treats her terribly in the beginning and makes no apologies. I’m not even sure what about him made her “fall in love”.Despite my grievances (and there were a few more), the story still managed to capture and hold my attention. There was enough intrigue that I wanted to see how everything would play out.I read another book by this same author, and I enjoyed it, and I’ll give her another try. But, I’m not entirely sure this one is worth your time.

Dark and Depraved
If you enjoy dark romance or are interested in testing the waters I think this is a great go to.Emily is my favorite kind of female lead. She’s smart, she’s funny, she is brave and has a little darkness within.Ruarc the MMC is more a little more dark than just morally gray, so please review the trigger warnings. But, I loved how this book slowly unfolded his back story and felt like his character growth was well paced. There is certainly some beauty and the beast retelling vibes which I love. I loved the twists of this book, I enjoyed the plot and was eager to see what happened and the spice was 🤌🏻

needed more
This is such a weird review for me honestly.I just felt like this book fell so flat. Who doesn’t love a good stalker romance. My thing though was how one day she was fighting him. Then literally a flip she was obsessed. The way it was written wasn’t believable. Also the writing was so detailed. Like overly detailed. There was more detail than conversation. Like characters facial expressions and what they were doing with their body movement. The spice was decent.I think I was just expecting more and was disappointed

I couldn't put this down
I love a good stalker, enemies to lovers romance and this hit all the marks. I loved the characters and the pace of the book. Towards the end, when the book hit its official climax, i was wondering how on earth redemption would happen with so little pages left. This book shattered me and then put back all the pieces perfectly.

Fun and spicy
This is definitely a hot and spicy novel, it will definitely scratch any itches youoghy have - especially if you want some tittilating non-con and bandage. Ruarc is definitely a steamy and dreamy male lead. I had a lot of fun reading this. Some editing issues throughout but nothing too terrible, St. John needs a better thesaurus to use, there were quite a few misused words. Droll=/=drawl.....come on girl.
