I like this computer -- a whole lot!
I like the computer -- a whole lot! It's got double the storage and double the RAM compared with my 5-year-old one, and a nice fast processor. Because the drive is solid-state, it boots up in mere seconds. And it got here when they said it would, so no problem there, either. I haven't tried the tech support, so I can't comment on that.But...I'm not completely onboard with Windows 11, though: there were things I could do on Windows 10 that are not possible on 11 (having each active task show up as a separate button on the taskbar, for instance). But I can't blame that on HP, or on Computer Upgrade King. So, yeah, I give the computer 5 stars.>>> And now, a little update (a couple of months later) about an update: Apparently I wasn't the only one who wasn't thrilled with how Windows 11 was displaying buttons on the taskbar. Windows did an update, and the update solved the problem. So now I like the computer (still a whole lot!) and I'm fine with Windows 11 too. Count me a happy camper!

DO NOT BUY!!!!!
Let me save you the headache: DO NOT buy an HP laptop or buy from this seller. Mine crapped out after just four measly months, and the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I thought HP was a reputable brand and that it was safe to buy this laptop from Amazon. I was wrong.I used this laptop daily for four months and it worked fine until I suddenly got a blue screen that said boot device not found. It was not dropped, there was no damage or any new downloads or changes to the laptop. When I reached out to HP for support they said the seller upgraded the product and thus voided the warranty so HP wouldn't help me. When I reached out to the seller they never responded. I've tried for over a month to get any type of response from them and I have gotten nothing but silence. Amazon refuses to help, I bought an Asurion protection plan and they refuse to help. So this has been an absolute waste of almost $1,000.I cannot stress enough - DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT - it will only lead to a headache. I recommend going to a brick-and-mortar store so that if something happens there is some actual accountability because you won't get that with Amazon, HP or PCOnline Us.If you want a laptop that will die on you without warning and a seller that couldn’t care less about your problems, then by all means, choose this laptop. But if you have any sense, take your hard-earned cash and invest it in a brand that actually stands behind its products. This was my first and last foray into the HP world, and I advise anyone reading this to steer clear. Save yourself the hassle and frustration!

The upgrades void the HP warrany.
I received my laptop on Aug 9 (fifty days ago as of this writing) and I'm aware that the Amazon return period on electronics is 30 days. However, shortly after the 30 days was over, devices began mysteriously disappearing from the device list and nothing we did could locate them - first the microphone, then the speakers, then the mouse. What's next? HP support kindly tried to update BIOS, firmware, etc to fix, but explained that the upgrades the seller "Empowered PC" did to the laptop voided any HP warranty. They also said that the increased RAM and storage are too great for the system to handle, and even if, say, I did a complete Windows reset, the problem would arise again within days. My local computer repair shop concurs. So basically this laptop is terminally ill. It is walking the Green Mile. It is eligible for the Make a Wish Foundation. As, according to the aforementioned experts, this problem is inherent with the setup the seller created, I would really like my money back. I've tried to contact them, but I have yet to speak with anyone other than an auto-response.UPDATE: Seller has offered to repair the laptop (motherboard the likely culprit) for free. If satisfied I will again update this review!FURTHER UPDATE: Seller repaired the laptop free of charge. Working fine now. I'm upping my rating from one to four stars.

HP customer service does NOT respond!
Mine came with a finicky cord. I have to jiggle it around and unplug and replug to get any power to the laptop. After a few months, the cord stopped working altogether. I've been trying for a year now to get it replaced, but HP does not respond to my requests even though the laptop is still under warranty. I bought an extra protection plan, but that won't start to cover anything until the HP warranty expires. That means I'm stuck for a couple more years not able to use my laptop at all, just waiting for the HP warranty to expire, so the protection plan will replace the faulty cord. Since buying the laptop, I've tried so so SO many times to contact HP customer service, but they don't respond to any attempts to contact them. They made a product with a non-functioning cord, and they refuse to make it right.
